Panzer dragoon orta would be the highest one on my list of originals hopefuls. Especially since the pal version of that game (which I have) crashes at the end of ch3. I thought it might have just been me but there is plenty more reports from other people with the pal version with the same problem.
Sony are starting to advertise on tv in the uk. So far I've seen adverts for killzone, lbp and mororstorm 2. That's more than they used to do over here. They are advertising more than they used to. I bet its having an impact on sales.

I'd rather they took out panzer dragoon orta on live. I've finished doom 3 on the pc heaps of times (loved it). I got a Pal copy of panzer dragoon orta off ebay coz it said on the xbox backwards compatibility list that it works on the 360 : http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/g... but the pal version doesn't. The 360 is a better gaming machine (Microsoft said gaming was the most important thing for the 360 so it stuck to dvd 9's). The ps3 is a better multimedia machine Blu-ray etc. I agree with this and I have both.

I loved the original it was a classic. I can't wait. In fact I think I'll install and play the first one again. It's been around 9 years since I last played it.

if sony want to sell ps2 games on psn (they'd be daft not to) then they will need a ps2 emulator for the ps3 (just like the ps1 emulator for the ps3). They can't be making much off games for the ps2 anymore (just the hardware). There is only 19 games listed here for coming out this year. http://www.vgreleases.com/p...
Peoples opinions. If I took reviews as gospel then I'd never have enjoyed games like: fokelore, lost odyssey, last remnant, blue dragon and so on. None of those games got great scores but I loved them. Mind you I'm a bit on the fence with killzone 2. It got great scores just like gta4 and the demo is great but gta4 disappointed me. I can confirm this (I tried both today). The framerate is choppier on the ps3 version. I was hoping to get the ps3 version though because the console is much quieter than the 360. If its not improved by the time of the launch though I'll be getting the 360 version.

-When I first bought my 360 about 7 months ago I found the d-pad awful (the diagonals wouldn't work). I bought a wired one a year or so earlier though (for my PC) and found it pretty responsive with the likes of sam showdown 2. I took the wireless one back to game (uk) got another one and I now find it as responsive as my ps3 pad. If anyone has problems with their pad they should just take it and keep taking it back if necessary till they get one that's right.
-the uk launch ps3 was software based only not hardware & software combined (like the us version). With that in mind if the uk launch ps3 could do it it stands to reason that the ps3 of today could handle backwards compatibility just as well. Fingers crossed they re-introduce it soon.
My son had just started crawling and decided it would be fun to tip over my 360 with the game running (I was in the bathroom at the time). I came back and found the game in a much worse condition than this lads. I took it round to gamestation the next day and they used a machine to buff out the scratches (cost me £2). It came out just like new. Bloody saved me they did.
I hope Microsoft take notes with this. I just managed to get a replacement controller coz the diagonals on the one I got with my Xbox didn't work. My new one works perfect with super street fighter but the dpad still isn't as good as sony's. I'd love one of these.

-in the video games industry. I'm really looking forward to seeing what he has in the pipeline for the next year or so. His mario, metroid and zelda wii games where cracking. Hopefully he can make more of those kind of games and perhaps another wave race.
So it's like oblivion liked I hoped it would be (I rank Oblivion up there with baulders gate 1 and 2). I only hope they changed the levelling so the world doesn't level up with you (think I read an article about them saying they were doing that).
The first post about this are from them LOL. Every games system ever has had its games leaked on the net at some point. It'll happen to the ps3 too it's only a matter of time. Thankfully it's doesn't impact too much on sales though (only the minority download 360 games) so developers still make heaps of cash.
