No. The only time that these types of enhanced consoles have been released was last gen, because 4K TVs were becoming the norm. That's not the case this gen. 8K TVs are not becoming the norm and possibly never will. I can't see enhanced consoles coming out this gen. It was such an unusual thing to happen. Nintendo didn't release a switch pro (despite all the predictions). That's how unusual it was.
This isn't surprising me at all. Everything is up in price, no mater where you are in the world, and wages aren't keeping up. Most people can't afford it (on top of the console, itself). I haven't been able to buy a brand-new game this year (for the first time in a long time), and can only afford them in sales, or I just use gamepass and PS+ premium..
Me too.
I agree. I bought one with a drive, because It was the only available one at the time. I have a collection of over 900 ps4 and ps5 games and never buy physical disks. To be honest, I'm too lazy to get up and change a disk when I want to change a game.
Yeah, there is. It's a terrible Ridge Racer game. It basically killed the franchise. I would love a new (proper) Ridge Racer from Namco. It'll probably not happen, though. :(
This isn't a surprise. It was a bloody good service, though. The £1000 refund makes up for it. I now have a PS5 and an Xbox Series X, so it's not a big loss for me. To be honest, that refund will probably come at an opportune time. Everything is so damn expensive, right now. It was one of the best way's to play Cyberpunk when It came out, though. It was the reason I started using it in the first place. No way I could have played it on the base PS4
I agree. I bought the game for £20 around a month ago for my PS5, and the game makes brilliant use of it. I downloaded it from gamepass the other day to try out the XSX version. I couldn't see any difference in the performance mode, but it really looses something in the controller department. I'm pretty surprised Micro haven't released a similar controller, yet. The PS5 Controller really is a game changer. I've always loved the Xbone/ XSX Controller, though. It'...
Me too.
To be fair, it was off Witcher 2 & 3. To a lesser degree, the first Witcher, too.
Stock has definitely improved. I bought a PS5 in May and an XSX a week and a half ago. No waiting or shopping around. To be honest, it was the first time I actually looked to buy the new consoles. I couldn't be arsed with the stress of trying to get them before, so I waited.
It's probably wishful thinking that I hope they start to properly optimize their games. I bought the download version of Elden Ring because of the DF review of the PS5 version and I just play the PS4 version, instead of the PS5 version, because the PS5 version is so poorly optimized. The PS4 version (although a little barren looking at times) runs at a flawless 60fps.
I'm glad I never got rid of my PS3 when the PS4 came out. I don't use it that often, but it's still under my TV and I love a go at Ridge Racer 7 now and again. Of all the games Namco has yet to release on the new Consoles, all I want if a new (proper) Ridge Racer. Probably won't happen, though.
Somehow, I don't think Sony have a patent on "haptic feedback". Haptic feedback has been around for many years. https://www.bing.com/search...
mistake
They do. It doesn't mean Microsoft can't make something similar. The haptic feedback controllers on the switch didn't stop Sony from making their own ones.
I hope Microsoft releases a new controller with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, like the PS5 has. Also, I hope the price is the same as the PS5 controller (£59.99). It is brilliant with GT7, and I'm sure it would be brilliant with Forza, too. I got a PS5 last month and am I getting an XSX next month. The PS5 controller is amazing on the PS5. Getting a new one on Xbox would be essential for playing Forza with, if available.
Good. It's one of the reasons I hated Fallout 4. It's not a character driven game, like the Witcher, Character driven games need a good voice actor.
No. 10 years from now? Perhaps. .
I'm hoping they do a PS5 version of this to go along with part 1. It would be brilliant to get full support for the PS5 controller, and I don't mind paying £9 or £10 to pay for the upgrade (like I did with Uncharted and GTA5).
I miss folders, on the main screen, from the PS4. They were so simple & easy to set up. I named each folder by genre (rpg, racing, platform games etc). It was so quick and easy to use. On both my XSX & PS5, I have to scroll down a huge list to find what I want. It's a pain in the arse. Groups on Xbox & game list's on PS5 aren't nearly as good. To be honest, game list's on PS5 are useless. Mind you, we didn't get folders on PS4 until late on in the gen, s...
