@freshslicepizza (You somehow think it's easy to survive in this industry as long as they make games you want them to make.).
LOL. You obviously didn't think before saying that LOL. They won't survive unless they the actually make games that people want them to make. Who would buy a kind of game that they don't like? I know I wouldn't. You probably wouldn't either. Wipe the sleep out of your eye's and wake-up. That comment made me laugh though. T...
Oxford dictionary defines gambling as "Play games of chance". For money or anything else really.
We already have. ME A runs like crap.
I went totally digital when I first got my PS4 ( I just buy them through sales online though). I'm looking forward to reading game publishers excuses as to why they keep their games at the same price (or more) when they stop selling physical copies. Since the late 80's/ early 90's they put the price down to the price of cartridges. Then when the PS1 and Sega Saturn came out the games cost us exactly the same (even though the cost of a disk was much much lower). These day's...
I would say that buying football card, pokemon etc is gambling too. The government don't seem to regulate card games but it is gambling. Even getting a lottery ticket is gambling when you think about it. There are many forms of gambling. Many most of us don't even think about. Its gambling none the less though. The definition of gambling is "to play a game of chance"
These companies are totally amoral. Loot boxes bought with either in-game currency or real money are of course gambling. You bet with real money or in-game currency and get rewarded randomly. Gambling addictions ruin people's lives. Now, these publishers want to start targeting everyone whether it be children or adult. I bought Forza 7 and although it doesn't have microtransactions in it yet, you still have to gamble (I wish I knew about the loot boxes first. I would have avoid...
@IRetroik Is that on a base PS4 or a PS4 Pro.? It doesn't stutter all the time but it does stutter in certain places on different track on the base model. The desert one comes to mind as well as the one with the planes flying overhead. I never pay attention to the names of the tracks.
I agree but using the Interior view (cockpit view) on the base PS4 on certain tracks causes the game framerate to start stuttering. I'd love it if they would fix that as it's my preferred view in racing sims. The first person view is ace, but the cockpit view always adds to the immersion for me.
This is great news. At first (before GTSport came out) I didn't think the online-only side of the game would work, but it does. I love the sportsmanship rating system. I know it not perfect, but it's a damn site better than any other online racer I've ever played. I did miss the old single player part though (Forza 7 filled that part and is great "apart from the lootboxes"). I'll tell you what would be really cool though. If they let you play the GT League with ...
Bloody hell. She's bloody hot. Now I suppose I better read the story :)
Bugger off with that idea. Since Nintendo came out with the NES, games have always been at an inflated price. Yes, some games cost a lot more to make these days but none are worth 80 quid. In fact, most aren't worth even 50. Movies still cost loads more than what games to make and you don't see the price of movies going up (even with piracy everywhere). It's corporate greed that is costing us loads of money this year (microtransactions etc). Nothing more.
Bloody spam
Movies cost around the same to make as AAA games these days (if not more). You don't see us getting charged extra to see the 2nd half of a movie, do you? We pay upfront (at the cinema, rental, DVD/ Bluray or download). Game publishers have no excuse for adding microtransactions They make the same amount of money from just selling the game as movie studios do with their movies (if not more). That's why the gaming industry is as big as it is today. I don't understand why people defe...
Not with the same cpu as the base xbone and ps4 it shouldn't
I've got all three versions of this game. The only things holding back the console versions were the grass distance, the distance filtering on the 360 version (the ps3 version fixed that) and the frame rate. It would be nice if they would increase the grass draw distance with a patch, but I doubt they will.
Oh no. Toxic fanboy's will be out in force this weekend. All we are going to see is arguments under the reviews of the new console. I bloody hate fanboys.
Good. Me and my Daughter both love the game but we both noticed the water physics missing. I explained to her that they probably didn't have time to add it before it was due for release and would probably be added with a patch. This is one instance that I'm glad I was right. I also noticed most of the foliage doesn't react to Aloy. That's less noticeable though and it also doesn't happen in a lot of other games.
I always pretty much buy digital these days. I bought both GT Sport and Forza 7 digital (all of the forza's on the Xbone really). I was told by a guy in CEX the other day that loads and loads of people are going digital. I can understand why. You don't even have to leave the house and the game (dependent on size) is pretty much downloaded within a couple of hours. I've got over 350 PS4 games bought digital, 300 odd PS3 games and over 300 Xbone ones (including backward compati...
@ Woolly_ Pong was multiplayer.
The thing is ravinash, it's the loot boxes themselves that are the gambling aspect. As I've posted once before, the definition of gambling is to play a game of chance(with money/in-game credits). At least that's Oxfords Dictionary's definition of it. These publishers can keep their microtransactions for all I care (I don't use them). What I don't like (especially as a parent) is the gambling aspect. I welcome any law's that will help protect my children from t...
