R.I.P. to Hiroshi Yamauchi. You were the greatest president gaming has ever seen.

I am only 22, but my sister passed down her massive collection of classic games to me (about 300 games). She showed me what REAL gaming is (most others my age had ps2 as their first console--I have everything from Atari to modern consoles). So I can totally identify with everyone else who yearns for a more traditional gaming environment. MS's policies are just wrong. DRM, anti used games, etc just makes me sick.

Nice blog btw.

Can u play a disc based DOS game on a modern pc using Steam?

I ask because one of my favorite games (Lemmings 3D) wont work on my modern pc. I just wanna play, and I even tried Dos-Box, but it didn't work ;(

@ nuke it all: What? Lol. Your entire reply made zero sense to me.

Oh and i'm pro hardcore gaming, not pro Sony. If Sony is the only one left supporting traditional core values--then yes, for the time being, I support Sony.

But keep up your anti-Sony/Pro MS crusade. I'm sure someone out there cares to listen. <3

Hmmm....so first MS pays 3rd parties to display their MULTIPLATFORM games at MS's conference (even though the games work on both systems),

And now we get news that they are monopolizing the tv waves via this Spike nonsense. Of course this makes sense, as Keighley and Spike have shown that they accept payments and underhanded endorsement's before the integrity of the game industry. Dirtbags.

This is what happens when a major American company who never...

4. The Witcher (next gen)
5. Thief (next gen)
6. Persona 5 (hopefully)
7. Destiny
8. New Zelda (not just the WW remake)
9. Infamous ps4
10. New unnanounced Naughty Dog game

Even though this is a joke video, the fact that Kotaku is giving it this much attention goes to show how little actual journalism Kotaku takes part in. They rarely break a new news story. I don't even know why we still approve 95% of their stuff (and the other 5% gets by just because they are opinion pieces).

I don't think that was intentional. But good point, none the less lol

@Poprocks: Response to your second edit:

Ok i'll spill the beans about what i'm thinking. I think that Keifer is not really Big Boss. I think he is a reflection of Big Boss, who we will play as. Why? Because the first two trailers had Sutherlands voice as the guy in the bandages who was helping Big Boss escape the medical facility. So, it is obviously a trick. YES, we will use a character who thinks he is Big Boss--but he won't really be him (still just my opinion...

I think Nintendo should merge (not just simply buy-out) SEGA. That would be epic.

I hear what your saying, but look at how many times we've been trolled by both Kojima and Hayter.

WHY would Kojima get rid of Hayter in such a cold, calculating way? It makes no sense. I mean, Kojima is seemingly treating David as if he slept with his wife behind his back.

That's not like Kojima at all. And the rage he's getting from fans is immense. So why would Kojima really risk all of this? I am of the opinion that Hayter will have a huge role...

I trust Kojima. All may not appear to be how it seems.

Either way, I buy a game for the full package, not so it can coddle my old-time favorite voice actor, even when the game director feels like moving onto a new voice talent.

Besides, Hayter might still secretly be in the game as Solid Snake (Naked Snake's clone-son).

Give Kojima a chance. He never goes out of his way just to anger fans.

Now let's all just stop cryi...

Of course they should have age ratings. Just because these kids can get their hands on it anyway, doesn't mean that the responsibility shouldn't fall on the parent to heed to the ratings on the box.

That's like saying "should porn sites have that warning requiring you to 'confirm' if you're 18--even though a 15 year old can just click yes and no one would be the wiser".

Even if it is not 100% effective, we still need a way to...

Do u think it's possible that the game might come out within a year's time from now? Tired of waiting tbh.

And the number 4 is worth more than 1. See? Anyone can use a pointless cliche like u did, too.

No. Not exactly.

Thanks for keeping us informed. I'm spreading the word too. Seriously, this is the single most important blog of the month, and it's still only the first week of June.

@Dance: I already acknowledged that. READ the whole comment b4 u post.

Time for a release date. We've been waiting too long since MGS 4 came out.

I know man, that's a complete joke. How do they even find a court that would even uphold such a nonsensical "patent"?

Did u see the one on Konami's "Tranformable Toy"? What in the world...? Could you think of a description any more arbitrary than that?

Spot-on. Steam barters with/makes deals to get great games to be at very affordable prices. Games being at a rigid $60 is too demanding of a cost, if they also expect us to willingly do away with our right to sell our previously played games.
