Even though Sony won't be using online passes, why don't these developers just use it themsleves? That way they can just block the use of the online portion of their games?

The ps4 will also allow the use of cellphones and tablets. DICE and Ubisoft are already implementing them on ps4.
Also, the ps4 has the ps eye, so it can have these features too. Sure they'll just be gimmicky if Kojma is only NOW implementing the camera.

I want at least a general release date. Is it coming in 2014? Is it simultaneous current and next gen releases, or is next gen later? Why did he shut down MGO if he knew he would make us wait so long for the next one?

None of the reasons stated matter enough. And that crap about instant patch downloads was dumb, because we all know some patches cause more problems than they fix. They even ruin offline games (skyrim).
I'm perfectly content with choosing if I want a patch, thanks to the prompt that gives me the OPTION.

The only thing they royally screwed up is that there is no ability to host your own playlist of your favorite maps. They need to patch That now, but Ubisoft has been ignoring fans since the game came out. Rendering the custom maps useless if people cant play them. Wtf ubisoft? Now i'm mad because I wanted to make maps, but whats the point if no one will get to play them?
I wont be buying FC4 if they continue to ignore the community over issues like this.

MS tried to go the Apple route, but consoles don't work like phones (forced online would also force you to pay for xbox live--like a phone payment plan; DRM on games (like phone games do), focusing on apps instead of games (xbox tv), not letting us sell our games (well, at least phones are digital), region locking, etc and we'll see to it that it never does now or ever.
We don't know anything about this game. Looks like fuse, but in an open world online setting in a post apocalyptic world.

But there isn't enough info to go on to get all hyped over it. Not saying people can't be intrigued, but other than graphics And this premise of randomly generated only PvP squad based encounters/skirmishes, I don't see anything all that unique and spectacular about the gunplay/gameplay.
