On PC I purely digital now. PS3 is about 50/50. Less about getting physical copies and more about not having the game fast enough on PSN.
I was very skeptical about digital in the past but once I lured in with the Steam discounts I found out I prefer digital.
I suspect Uncharted 3 will be a PSN+ soon. They are setting up major micro-transactions and the new patch is a lot like TF2 by Valve.
Would help DICE recover more cost/profit if they can deploy a current gen and next gen game. Most of the market will not have the PS4/Xbox720 by the time the game is released. It will also give players on the fence a reason to upgrade. A number of PC players built new rigs just for BF3.
Just YLOD........ I was thinking about jumping back into this game. Need to hold tight and hope for a price drop at Gamescon next month.
I wish I would have waited to get this game. With all the connection issue at first I was never able to get into the game. I am sure if I picked it back up I would have fun but I have pretty much moved on to other games.
Just started getting into TF2. It is my new pick up and shoot game. I am amazed how fun this F2P game is after all these years.

Yep, never buy under 50%. Depending on how old the game you should evern wait till 66% or better.

Waiting for a better price on Steam. Right now it is 20%. I do not buy on Steam Sale until 50%. I have been burnt in the past to buy at %20 discount during the first few days on Steam Sale and the last day they put it at %50 or better.
Are you sure about that? I thought Steam had to buy the keys and the keys are in current inventory with Steam...... I could be wrong.

Disagree about the profit part - Value is making a killing off TF2. People can make money with F2P if they have the right following
For the most part I agree with you. However, Nintendo being a kid system can work for them. I buy my kids (3 girls) a number of Nintendo products. So do a lot of parents.
My kids do not play hardcore games but I spend as much money on them as I do for PC gaming (via Steam) and the PS3 (via Plus/PSN)for me. Of course every few years I out spend my kids gaming habit when I am building / Upgrading my PC.
Was wishing that this was a Valve idea. Give a cheep console which is open to modding and playing cloud base games and store apps.
The Wii U name will hurt sales. Parents are going to think they already bought thier kid a Wii. Or it is an expensive add on. It would work if they dropped the Wii part.
Switch to TF2 as my pick up and shoot game when I refused to buy MW3. Glad I did. TF2 has a nice balance between classes and with the right team you can do some cool tactics.

I will get it for my wife's laptop if the price is really $40 to upgrade/OEM. Plus, the PC is mostly used for Web and email.
I will wait on my gaming PC and see how it holds up in major reviews after a few months. I also want to see how well it supports the majority of my games on Steam.
