EDIT:Fair point. It's quite incredible how long these consoles have gone this gen, I'm quite impressed to tell you the truth. Still no reason to chuck away my ps3 for quite a while yet, and that's just in regards to GTA5 lol.
You'd have to be a bit dense to think they would do that though.
They already confirmed they were working on Doom 4 didn't they? I'm sure I remember seeing something about it ages ago.

Patches have been used with console games for years now, fairly large patches on occasion, and I've never seen a game get patched from being 30fps to 60fps. Ever.
When has that ever happened with a game? I've never seen 60fps 'patched' into a console game.
No prob. Yeah, I'd love a Fallout every year but I'm sure they're working on the next one as we speak, and the games are massive so they must take a lot of work to get out. Certainly looking forward to the next one :)
In regards to the first two games, they are great games with great dialogue and characters - but bear in mind that they were released many years ago so the graphics are of the time, and with a different viewpoint.

That's the same if you only owned a console though. I love all kinds of different games, and one of the genres I'm really interested in since I played Elite on my Spectrum 48k is space sims. There are NO games like Elite on console, absolutely none.
But there is on pc, the X series and others. This is a game I'm looking forward to that if I only owned a console I wouldn't be able to play -

I was very disappointed with this really, having The Chinese Room on board was actually quite detrimental to the game, they seem to have gone out of their way to make sure it was all about the story and very little else.
I wasn't really a fan of Dear Esther, because while it was a nice story it wasn't much of a game, and their influence is very clear here. The encounters are few and far between, and there is little stealth involved.
