Doesn't pressing up or down, or left or right, in quick succession in a menu work better for you? It would be quicker for me.
If it was a proper mouse then it would certainly be faster, but from personal experience with laptop touch pads I prefer pressing buttons.
If a dev makes good use of it I suppose it could be a good tool, but I'm skeptical myself. I see it being mostly used for aiming purposes. And for gimmicky motion controls.
I doubt it will be used much by many devs really. It's a feature , like the six-axis, that will barely be touched on, quite literally. It will be involved in some games, but mostly as an afterthought.
I've just got to when Trevor is reintroduced, and while he's a complete psycho (or maybe because he is) he's one of the funniest characters I've ever experienced in a GTA game. He cracks me up.
Yeah it is a complete change, a drastic improvement over GTA4. It's astonishing what they've got out of the hardware, and with a very stable framerate.
Top marks for Rockstar, outstanding work, they're clearly at the top of their game (no pun intended).

He's obsessed with it, pretty much every comment he makes is a dig at the Wii U or Nintendo, and he does it regularly. Quite sad really.

Well I can see your point in a way, but for me it's actually a very good thing. I played San Andreas to 100% completion, not because I particularly needed to say to myself or others 'Hey I got 100% completion!', but because I enjoyed the game so much.
I didn't want it to end because the gameplay was incredible, it was addictive. I love games that give you lots to do, reasons to keep going back and enjoying yourself.

I've played it, for most of the day actually, and it is an amazing game. I loved TLOU, but I'd have to say GTA5 pips it for fun and sheer scale.
Also, how can having too much to do be a bad thing? That's some of the worst reasoning I've ever read.
Talk about flogging a dead horse, it isn't an issue to pretty much everyone playing it. I'm fed up with hearing the same thing over and over again.
It hasn't got a female protagonist so get over it, none of this matters to most people and it isn't going to change anything. A game shouldn't have to shoehorn a female character in just to please a small minority that take issue with it.

The way I see it is this - If they wanted to make a 'game' of this sort, and I use the term 'game' very loosely, it should have been something away from Amnesia, because the core game elements of Amnesia are totally lost here.
