So much for doin research, they actually missed the + of the name of the graphics chip. It's not a standard off the self chip Sony has added some custom stuff to the chip, hence the +.
Also devs on the Vita have already said that Vita is capable of running PS3 graphical assets, so in that sense the Vita can run PS3 quality graphics.
@kharma45 - It does split screen ,do that on a TV.
Hook 'PlayTV' upto it and it can record TV.
@iamnsuperman - I actually purchased a PS2 slim when Sony delayed PS3, then I bough a 60Gigger launch PS3. My PS3 60Gigger is still alive and kicking(just with a 750Gb hard drive in it), just like the day I purchased it.
Same can't be said for all my m8's that bought launch 360's and returned then multiple times. Most now have dumped 360 and gone with the reliable PS3.
Why would Sony ditch UMD media drive cos it has moving parts that drain battery life, then go ahead and put a Hard drive that also has moving parts. That wouldn't make alot of sense. Thats why flash storage makes sense.

@Arnon - Both PPE & SPE's are cores. Reason SPE's have ther own kernal/ram etc.
@Tzunoy - I take a game/movie on Blu-ray any day of the week compared to DVD. Superb picture & uncompressed audio, and not having to swap discs half way through watching/playing wins hands down.
