If this turns out to be a success, there will be a sequel exclusive to Xbox / Windows.
If some PS4 players like this game, they will either have to pimp their gaming PCs with a MS OS or get the next Xbox to play part 2.
I don’t see this as a bad thing for MS really.
If it flops, they can work on a new IP, without budget-issues and that will be exclusive...
Anyway, game looks good. I will give it a shot.
Comparing an early access game with a full release game a year later... conclusion: the full release has fewer bugs.
Gaming journalists...
Looking good!
Obsidian was a great choice for an acquisition.
If Microsoft cures cancer he would blame them for all the doctors losing their job.
It will use AMD and aims for 4K / 60 FPS.
That is all the news this article provides. Awesome and totally not expected...
I actually thought game pass would have a bigger impact on retail sales.
I mean ~500k retail ~500k digitally and Game Pass... pretty impressive
Nice!
They will create awesome content and I hope for a great new IP.
Otherwise I wouldn’t mind a Perfect Dark reboot either...
picture is wrong, there is no crossplay with PS4.
Release a broken game, role out dozens of patches and updates, get nominated for best ongoing game.
That Obsidian news leaked before, but was “failed” on N4G, because the source wanted to be anonymous.
But random predictions with zero chance of actually happening are fine on N4G. Maybe a good day to re-think that.
MS is serious about building their first party studios. This will be a crazy next generation
Game Pass is killing it
Fortnite is on track to create a 2 billion revenue in 2018
https://www.bloomberg.com/n...
So yeah, more than Nintendo overall.
I will bet my cat that multiplayer focused games will generate way more money than single player experiences.
Fortnite, PUBG, Dota 2, LOL, Overwatch, WOW,...
Seriously a strange statement when tencent games (Fortnite) makes more revenue than Microsoft and Sony combined, without selling gaming hardware...
true story.
Look at the install base: PSVR crossed the 3 million mark in August, almost 2 years after its release.
Kinect, another peripheral that did not succeed, sold 8 million units in its first 60 days.
So only 4-5% of the PS4 owners bought PSVR. That is NOT a game changer at all.
I don't expect much.
PUBG Update.
Sea of Thieves Update.
Crackdown gameplay.
Maybe Obsidian Games joining them.
Metro Exodus
Ori And the Will of the Whisps Gameplay.
3 days left.
They could have done anything:
Warcraft IV (eventhough WC3 reforged is a good try!)
Diablo IV
World of Warcraft 2
Starcraft 3
Overwatch 2
The Lost Vikings
Heroes of the Storm 2
BUT NOT A FREAKING MOBILE GAME!
Blizzard is probably the developer with the most hardcore fanbase. They don't need a mobile game.
Along with Gears of War 5...
Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t see the point in getting a new tablet for increased power.
I don’t need that for Netflix, checking emails or stuff like that.
The Battle Royale mode is great though
