of course, they will have the most powerful console next gen. That is awesome.
CPU
PS5: 8 x 3.5 GHz
Xbox Series X: 8 x 3.8GHz (3.6 GHz with SMT)
--> Xbox Series X wins
GPU
PS5: 10.28 TFLOPs (36 CUs at 2.23 GHz)
Xbox Series X: 12.15 TFLOPs (52 CUs at 1.825 GHz)
--> Xbox Series X wins
Memory
PS5: 16GB
Xbox Series X: 16GB
--> draw.
Memory Bandwith
PS5: 448 GB/s
Xbox Series X: 10GB ...
You can repeat that over and over again, it won’t be true though.
I agree that timed exclusives are somehow a pain and just a business. But this one is the most absurd game to chose as an example for that.
1st: It is a remake. Everybody basically played that game.
2nd: It won’t have multiplayer.
3rd: it just one month.
Why should this one be so brutal compared to other games like Tomb Raider?!
Well... What has the article to do with the PS5 though?
You could say the same thing about PC and Xbox Series X as well. In fact, the PS5 is the least powerful platform next gen.
Of course the Xbox Series X is more powerful. We saw the specs, didn’t we?
The Xbox Series X wins every main comparison.
CPU —> Series X
GPU —> Series X
Memory—> draw
Memory bandwidth —> Series X
crazy how this game evolved. Great support from Rare.
I ask Gamers to rise up and fight the Trump administration. And Corona.
they misspelled ZywOo, the best player on earth last year.
This is like a football reporter talking about Roneldo vs Messy.
Oh and:
In before N4G marked this article as failed, like the one saying "Xbox Series X is way more powerful than the PS5".
The reason was: "Lame".
https://n4g.com/news/233327...
If you read the specs, it is clear that the Xbox Series X will be more powerful. Period.
I think that MS played it VERY well so far. Their trailers at the VGAs, announcing their first games (Halo Infinite, Hellblade 2, Grounded, Everwild), Making sure that everybody gets the message, that EVERY Xbox One game and every Xbox One controller works on the Xbox Series X.
If it wasn't for the Corona virus, I bet a lot of people at Microsoft high-fived when S...
Oh you are Right!
PS5: less than 100 PS4 games.
Xbox Series X: Every Xbox One Game, 540 Xbox 360 games, 36 Original Xbox Games.
—> Xbox Series X wins.
There is no way you can honestly say that the PS5 is the more powerful machine, because of a faster SSD.
They are losing in every other category. CPU, Memory Bandwith, GPU, Storage...
Just accept it.
In comparison to Xbox Series X:
CPU
PS5: 8 x 3.5 GHz
Xbox Series X: 8 x 3.8GHz (3.6 GHz with SMT)
--> Xbox Series X wins
GPU
PS5: 10.28 TFLOPs (36 CUs at 2.23 GHz)

They took their time!
Please be as precise as possible with some real numbers and nothing like "Something we have never seen before" or "great details" ... Give me facts about your hardware.
Looking forward to it!
will you be disappointed if there are no new game announcements like you pretended to be with the Xbox reveal?
yeah sure, they totally wanted to reveal their games on the DF youtube channel... And there were no games shown, so you write an article about how MS failed to deliver games.
Is this gaming journalism thing your day job?
Realistically speaking:
Is there anything MS could have done better for next gen?
Software:
Built great new studios, acquired great studios and expanding existing studios.
Halo Infinite as a launch title, Fable IV by Playground games, Hellblade 2, Grounded, Everwild, Battletoads are all confirmed for next gen.
Hardware:
It sure seems to be a beast. You can't ask for much more. PS5 might or might not mat...
He is right!
I have built a gaming PC a few months ago and I asked for help in some Specific forums. People recommended me certain GPUs, CPUs and decent Memory.
Not one single answer was about the SSD beyond the Statement “Get an SSD”.
Now that Xbox has the better CPU, GPU, Memory bandwidth, all of a sudden the SSD became the most critical component of them all.
It is ridiculous.
Even on N4G when I ...
