NPD is sold to consumers as well, same for Media Create (Japan) and GfK / Chart-Track (Europe).
Financial reports feature shipped numbers. That does not mean PR releases do the same. (MS releases sold to cosumers numbers, Sony releases shipped numbers right here)

It is not just shipped vs sold it is also active userbase vs controller sales.
If you bought the starterpack and picked up another wand as well, you are 2 sales for sony, eventhough the userbase is still one - you! A Kinect-sale is always a growth of the userbase though.

There were WAY more Kinect games on the charts around the world than Move games. There was not ONE single move game on any charts in Europe for weeks now. Heck even Sports Champion is out of the top40 in the UK already.
No move games in France, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany or everywhere else.
Kinect on the other hand has Dance Central, Kinect Sports and obvioulsy Kinect Adventures on the charts.

Wait for November NPD and tell me again. So far no Move game made it in the top10 at all. There is no move game on the uk charts either. Check Netherlands, France, Sweden or Germany --> No Move games. Quite a few Kinect games everywhere though, mainly Kinect Sports, Kinect Adventures (obviously) and Dance Central...

There is no 1 second lag, I freaking own Kinect and play with it at home. It scares me that someone like you have kids to be honest.
It is a brilliant game though. I am about 100 hours in and still love it. I still haven't even touched forge-world.
