DVD doesn't affect the games in any way. Just the number of disks.
Why do you think PC games still come on DVD but look way better than anything on consoles?
I do love me some Battlefield. I look forward to the next refinement.
Respects to Call of Duty.
Very different games, to each his own.
If people like them, and the companies are making money, I don't see any reason that they shouldn't survive.
Sure, I may not be playing them, but obviously someone is. Let them enjoy it.
I'm glad to see that DRM is working out for you...
/s.
You mad?
I feel like 4 years is the perfect amount of time.
After that, I just start getting bored :/
I just wonder how much power it will take to render this hair.
Sometimes simple things like this can have huge impacts on performance. Just look at tessellation...
Friday, if I'm not mistaken.
I love Nintendo. Always have.
I've owned every console they've ever produced, even the handhelds.
But man, at a point, I'm starting to feel they are taking advantage of their fans pushing this dated tech.
I'm sure most will feel this way too.
I miss the days when Nintendo was pushing the boundaries of what hardware could do.
I really expect the Wii U to be short lived. In a way, I think Nintendo does too.
^^This.^^
My AMD processor can run anything I throw at it way way above 1080p/60 no problem.
Sure, it's clocked at 3.8ghz...but still.
AMD makes great processors. Not as fast as Intel, but noone needs that much speed, or costs.
To everyone disagreeing with nlvwithgms, there is a reason Sony is paying AMD to make their chips instead of making their own.
Sony isn't good at making processors, never have been.
This is a good move for Sony.
Because pirates will pirate something else? How is that in any way bad?
A watermarked disk is simply a disk with an "invisible" imagine printed onto it. It's similar to the way that photo companies hide text in their photos to identify it as a legitimate photo.
It's invisible, and doesn't affect the end user.
It's only purpose is to make pirating disks more difficult. Pirates don't (currently) have the technology to print their own watermarked disk

Don't overreact, and quit making things up.
I really enjoyed ME3.
All games are going cinematic. What's new there?
Perhaps we should just call it like it is?
Bubbles for being helpful :)
Can you post some photos of how the game looks on PC?
I'll be playing on PC myself.
They could in theory limit an open world, in theory, I'll give you that one. So far, however, Every open world game that has been released has ran just fine off of even the 360's DVD drive, including Far Cry 3.
Next gen we should expect pretty large hard drives and game installs, and this really wouldn't be an issue.
