There is no benefit to having more than 4gb of ram. There is no performance increase. Actually in some games you lose performance. I've tested this myself.
While ports are very welcomed, it's never ports that really sale a console. Especially this late in a console cycle, when educated consumers are well aware that a new console is around the corner from both MS and Sony.
Nintendo needs to come up with a new system seller. Pikman looks nice, but not something I'll buy a console for. I love Nintendo, and have supported every console they've released, but they need to get on the ball.
If Wii U is relying on ports from other current gen consoles, what happens when the new consoles come out?
Either is gets a crappy downgrade, or no game at all.
I'm not so sold on this Wii U thing.
I'm thinking Wii won't.
They meant the Pc version of Assassins Creed (which is a direct console port). So yeah, it looks the same.
I'm a steam guy myself, but for a buck, I'm in. Driver and from Dust are on my list to buy anyway.
They already stated in an interview with Gametrailers that they have dumped the cockpit view.
Very disappointing.
Perhaps it simply benefits from the competition of having BF3 stepping up the graphical bar.
BF3 does make most other games look sad. Especially on pc.
Is it running on the Frostbite engine or something? Or is it simply inspired by the tech? The article doesn't really go into dept at any point.
Hard Reset, and Warhammer 40k Space Marine, for me these games nail the difficulty.
Hard enough for me to fight for survival, but not soo hard that I'm replaying levels over and over.
Rage on Hard was a really great experience.
I feel like the general population is honest, and would pay for their games, if there are games that are worth paying for.
Most users aren't "hackers" and won't put forth any real effort into stealing games. That's just my experience personally.
I realize that the Ouya is open source, and it's designed to be "hackable", so developers should surely keep this in mind when developing. Free to play games are probably the future for this console,...
They can get more detail and action out of a game at 720p, so it's an obvious good move, especially if they run at 60fps.
If there is AA applied, they should look good enough, but I would still prefer 1080p. Alas, hd tv's are still the minority.
Look into Asus, you can often get last years models of their gaming laptops cheap, and their gear is top notch. As a computer repair tech, I always prefer Asus equipment.
Man, when I was a kid a hated Metal Gear. Probably because I never understood I had to sneak around.
But when Metal Gear Solid hit the PSX, I was in love. My favorite game ever probably.
When Medal of Honor was fresh, that series was great. Also a huge fan of Far Cry and Crysis series.
At least you aren't waiting for the pc release :/
I'm not even sure there is a date set yet.
Still not sure why gamers care about sales numbers...
It's the end of the console cycle. People are losing interest. Some new hardware should perk up the industry for everyone.
I mean seriously...games are looking rough these days.
Negative simply replied to your opinion, with his opinion. Nothing wrong with that.
I think you just have trouble accepting others opinions, neither of which is wrong.
I'm more excited about this than the Nintendo Wii U, or anything else that's rocking the consoles right now sadly.
Open source = freedom.
Freedom = unique games. I'm soooo tired of shooters.
I've always liked forza games, just my preference really.
GT are pretty solid games, but a little tough at times for my taste.
To each his own, but both are fantastic games.
GRID 2 has me excited, despite the lack of a cockpit view. Not a simulation, but balls to the wall fun. :)
