I would get which ever version will work best for you. If you have a good controller, and video card, if it comes out on pc that would be a good bet.
But if you plan on playing with a bunch of friends on psn, you may want to look at that.
Usually pc versions are about 10 bucks cheaper though.
I agree it's a scam. i rented the game and loved it though...The controls aren't bad at all. It made the game what it is. It's not Gears of War...
But I don't see how the multiplayer would work unless maybe the used the cover mechanic and force you to sneak up on your opponent? I dont' know...
The lickers where totally awesome in the game. I was really hoping I would get to see some classic zombies somewhere late in the game though. I was really hoping for that. That would...
Multiplatform is the future. I don't like exclusives, I would like to play my games on any console I wish.
But I love vista.
I built my computer(actually last two) with it in mind and it rocks.
No crashes, killer performance, killer gaming.
I would never upgrade a xp computer to vista, that would blow. I also wouldn't use a lower end pc for vista. But if its' built for vista, it really kicks.
I think people hate vista because it's the "cool thing to do". Just like mac. Mac isn't that great. I wanted one at one time too. I played for a while, then realized I was ...
Crysis can actually be ran on about a 800 computer on it's lower settings. I actually have a 900 laptop that can play it. Although two years ago, it would have costed thousands to play it. At it's maximum settings you are looking at around 1,500 dollars to run it maxed out. Which is just crazy.
He's right though. pc will never die.
Ever play a First Person Shooter on pc? You can't beat the precision control of a mouse and keyboard.
Games like GRID, Call of Duty, Crysis, St...
GT would use a good bit of CPU power, but nothing incredible. Racing physics are actually fairly easy to calculate. Remember the PS2 did a great job at creating a realistic physics environment. A good dual core at 2.4 or so would be enough to do the CPU work. If the playstation 3 had more ram, it could take better advantage of it's CPU power, as these algorithms take up a lot more ram than you think. If there where more complex things like real time damage models and things like that, then th...
I could see it coming to pc later. The developer needs to make back all that money from delaying, and delaying the release. From their standpoint, it only makes sense.
As for running on pc, it would run easily. The playstation 3 is only powerful, when compared to other consoles.
"Do you have any idea what it would take to run GT5 on a PC? First off all I assume it would not be very optimized since PD is a console developer. It would probably be harder to run tha...
When comparing the prices, there is no argument that the 4890 is the better bet. Unless your made of cash. Not me.
The i7 would woop the cell in a processor race. Sorry, just would.
Anyway, I would have dropped the processor to a Phenom II and spent the extra on dual video cards. Much better for gaming. Modern games arn't that reliant on cpu for graphics anymore. Anything dual core 2.5ghz or higher would be fine. Above that, no frame rate differences.
I tend to agree with IGN.com
They do good stuff.
I have both consoles, not biased.
I think it will work. This article is garbage, as it's based on a story from years ago when this wouldn't work. If you havn't noticed, Crytek is on board with Onlinve, already running Crysis on the platform.
I think it's going to work. not for everyone maybe, but I think it will work. They say it only takes around 300k/s right? Around 5mbps for HD. I know my service can handle that.
I get to see mario get decapitated! Total score.
It the presentation they had about the service, they say that it can achieve up to 720p streams, depending on your provider.
This would be great for those with no video card, or just a weak pc that couldn't push those graphics. I think in the end though, real pc gamers will still play locally. It's hard to beat Native 1080p with 8xaa on all your games at 60+fps.
You are comparing an engine rendering environments, with no real onscreen characters, in a controlled enviroment to a actual game designed to have tons of characters on screen.
How is the comparable? Any game running tons of enimies all with AI on will obviously be rendering less detail to all of them.
Any engine could render these scenes in a controlled environment with no action on screen.
how ridiculous.
Don't get me wrong, I'm pumped about the engine, and love t...
Euphoria engine is sooo overlooked. In a game I would rather see things move and react in a realistic way than having outrageous graphics that do nothing for the game.
Sure, Killzone is nice looking and all, but other than that, the game has no real meat to it.
Physics make a game interesting to play, not just to look at.
The Cryengine is also pretty impressive. If you have it running on a good rig, it can do some amazing things with Physics and graphics. Probably the most ...
The current xbox is in the right direction. It's a gaming platform. Not a blu ray player, or a web browser, or a work out machine...It's a console.
They have the right idea. They just need to take it further.
Blu ray would be nice, but I don't think it will be mandatory.
DVD is still kicking strong. No pc games use it, and the quality is fantastic. Pc easily out performs any console available, and it's still kicking the ol DVD9.
Maybe if the next console is 4 years ...
I don't even know what you're trying to say...?
He is correct. There is a big difference between native and upscaled resolutions.
Upscaled, is a lower quality signal stretched and "enhanced" to look better at a higher resolution. A higher resolution is just that...higher resolution. Native 1080p looks incredible. Upscaled just looks blurry in comparison.
Both ps3 and 360 are hd consoles. Neither are capable of 1080p with complex graphics, but they are capable.
If you want true 1080p, build a pc.
I would like to comment on the fact that people feel the need to comment on Microsoft commenting on a topic that no one really cares about...
I mean really, it's the PS2...
what effect does this really have in your daily life anyway?
Even if it had a browser, I wouldn't use it.
The browsers on the PS3 and the Wii both suck! The last time I used a browser on a console and thought it was a good idea, was the Dreamcast.
Anyone getting flashbacks?
It's not a needed function.
It's more of a feature tacked on to mask other systems limitations.
Anyone here not got a computer? Anyone here viewing this on their ps3 or wii?
No...I didn't think so.
Give it up. This article is trash.
