What is it?
Phenom IIx4 3.0 (overclocked to 3.4)
4gb ddr 800 ram (corsair)
500 gb Seagate 7200.14 Hard drive
Foxconn A79A-s
MSI HD 4890 1gb card
Liteon DVD drive
Rosewill Case
And BFG 500 power supply
Vista 65bit (system builders version).
You should be able to get all this for even less than I did (6 months old, except for the card).
Now shut up, and learn how to build a computer. Geeze.
I'm ...
I'm glad someone did this! Maybe more gamers will make their way to PC. Much better experience.
They didn't list the fact that you can still use the 360 controller on PC though. I thought that would be in there.
And I'm not just talking Crysis.
Alienware is just a jacked up Dell. You don't want those horribly over priced POS.
If you HAVE to buy a prebuilt, go to Ibuypower.com
Nothing at 480p is going to look that great(at least on a HDTV). I'm yet to see anything best RE4 on the gamecube...
But I won't bear my judgment until I at least see some video.
Of pc gaming. I'm soooo glad I waited for the Pc version instead of picking up the 360 version. Woot Woot!
are this article is pointless. How can you judge games that aren't even out yet?
Although I'm sure urcharted will look fantastic and all, we can't judge them before they come out. It's not even fair.
And this seems more of a top 5 graphics for PS3 list anyway. No pc or 360 listing...? Except for COD anyway. I'm not sure it should even be on the list...there are much more impressive graphical games out there.
It's a new generation of cards, not just a revision. All new architecture, and DX11 will be nice.
I've heard rumors that they can hit around 2gflops per second...we'll see.
I welcome any update, and I'm not complaining, but I had hoped for something bigger. Backwards compatibility was my big hope.
I like the animated backgrounds, but I won't pay for one...so it doesn't help me much. I do get the nifty sparkles though.
I don't get how the multi 5.1 out helps...? Why do you need 2 surround sound systems, or another 5.1 in another room? I really don't get that one.
I don't have an Nvidia card. I wonder if there will be a notable difference?
You deserve a good virus.
Maybe the T-virus.
Lately Disney has been striking out with their stuff. If they start taking control of the movies and comic books, then this will be a bad move...
I have the pre order rolling in, and I'm looking forward to a nice fresh install. I've been running my installation for about 6 months now of Vista.
I tried the Beta and it was pretty nice. I didn't see any real improvements in speed, but I was still using vista drivers for my video and such. On the plus there where no problems at all when it came to playing my games. Still smooth. I never tried the RC. I'm sure I'll be much happier when I get my full version now that drivers are avail...
The game literally did a 360...
So it got up, turned completely around, and sat back down where it started? I thought games where inanimate...
I had a bunch of graphical glitches on many games using X-fire. flickering textures mostly. I eventually just swapped to the 4890, which seems to run better, even though the theoretical power was much less.
Just my experience.
I just got my 4890...
My poor pocket...
Be Twisted Metal...
It's been sooooo long. Sniff.
They would not be supporting multiple GPU setups? I would imagine any advantage over vista would be simply from less resources being used.
To teraclusterx, just so you know, Blur Ray has nothing to do with the visual quality of a game. Only storage capacity. It's still up to the GPU,CPU, and ram as to what it can actually display. And bandwith? What does that have to do with video? Unless you're talking PCIx16 bandwith...
The graphics on pc with never be touched by consoles.
I have a ps3, 360, and a nice gaming rig. The computer destroys both consoles in every way. Hands down.
So your argument doesn't have much ground there. Although most people don't realize you can do that for some reason...
It's pretty sweet. You've never played a HD game until you do native 1080p, with 8xaa at 60fps.
