I've not had a single problem. Not really any noticeable improvement in gaming over Vista when it comes to performance.
But then again, Vista performed great for me too.
The Wii could push an HD signal, but at what price?
Frame rate? Even less detail in texture, geometry, and draw distances?
If they simply do a software update, only games meant for HD will be HD, and those that are designed for it will have to take a cut somewhere. I personally don't feel the Wii as it is will be able to do a worthwhile HD experience.

They need some changes. Since they went open world with the racers it really got boring.
I think they should go back to Need for Speed High stakes or Hot Pursuit. Those where great. But they used well designed circuit based levels. No open world crap.

It took a flat textured surface, and gave it full blown steps. Looks closely.

As for the road, they used an extreme example of what can be done. You can bump map in full 3d now, which is great.
The road could have been bump mapped in a more subtle way, only showing mild crevices and cracks. But the idea of this is to show how far you can take it.
It's a sliding scale. You can go from flat, to bumps, all the way to spikes(like you saw on the dragon).

You can tell MW2 is just playing it safe. Not real improvements or additions. Just riding out the gravy train.
This game looks slick though. I hope it runs in a higher res than the last, or uses AA. The first was a jag fest.
They where working on windows 8 long before windows 7 came out.
They had already talked about future 128 bit os's...so there is something out there.
It will probably be a few years though.
