Don't software lock it, just make it like how it is now, you can't pay for stuff with different region credit cards... For a few that's willing and able to get different country's PSN cards, let them.

Many people nowadays speak more than 2 languages and come from many different places, for them it's a givin that they would want to have friends from different regions. Even normal people would want to make a friend from a different country sometimes, learn a different language or what not... let the users choose!!!

Memory sticks not cutting it anymore? 8gigs memory cards are cheap and available, movies on UMD were less than 1.3 gig. Getting multiple 4 gigs would be cheap too...
Monster Hunter 2nd G has HD installs and running off memory sticks are fast enough that there was no need for loading.
Knowing how Kotaku likes to mix and match quotes, this is probably just some BS to bring confusion cuz it's a stupid idea.
Everybody suspected GoW3 on PS3.... Nobody suspected the SquareEnix move... If Sony would've shown a Team Ico game, maybe that would've tied it.
I never liked GoW as a game really, only the graphics were impressive at the time. The adult theme violence gets old fast and with a kiddy grade button mash controls it makes it even worse.
I think I read somewhere they are revamping the controls, and I really hope they make it a lot better and a harder game like DMC or Ninja Gaid...
IMO "Winner" means to make more people wanting to buy your system instead of the competitor's, that's what E3 is about right?
The FF announcement alone gave reason to lot of people not needing to buy a PS3 and others a reason to reconsider getting a 360 instead.
Even the Netflix deal, Microsoft is good at making deals look cheaper and sweeter, regardless if it actually ends up being cheap or not, the general public don't think that much and does get the imp...
The graphics is just way too sub-par compared to the teaser that they showed before... They should've never shown the teaser because the graphics now is just oo much of a let down. I hope the graphics doesn't stay the same way and will improve a lot more.
The price is ridiculous compared to just having to pay for Netflix.
Maybe for the price of "buy", give another option of paying more and being able to download while they send you the blu-ray for keep?
Or maybe offer the netflix type of deal for all you can download off the rentals.

Well they are making it on PC and it's just now getting to run on PS3. Since they are using Crystal Tools once the PS3 version is done it shouldn't take long to port to 360. PS3 version might be held back a little to wait for 360, but probably not that long.

PS3 and 360 version will release on the same date for US, and same date for Europe. Just different dates for US and Europe.
If the 360 version does very well, Square will probably port Versus too.
Maybe that announcement will be another show stealer at the next E3.
Anyway at least this news today will probably make Sony step up their game and us gamers will get better games as a result.
At this point I don't see either system dying so as long as competition is there, there will be better and better games coming out (at least I hope so).

There's still a lot that needs to be fixed and a lot room for it to be better.
Just keep them free updates and improvements for prologue coming and I would actually rather wait instead of getting a game that's not MUCH better than prologue.
GTTV needs to be free though, they are gonna charge $$ in Japan but I hope they won't in US and Europe. I think for the first month they are only charging 10 yen (10 cents) a show in Japan, it needs to be kept that way instead of like 30...
