Besides a platform game, as said by the developers you can make it a glorified chat-room or anything that you can think of.
Since the game is running off real physics, I'm already looking into robot mechanics and planning on building a giant controllable robot running off gears and gimmics.
Since you can share data people can implement the robot data with their own and just put in more and more sets of robots if they want. There could be a league of robot builders and just ...
Konami had "Mahjong Fight Club" on Launch with the Japanese PS3 and Konami charged for online play themselves (I guess to not take away from their arcade business)
They set up their own ID's and stuff so they can charge whatever without having to bother Sony and it's been like that ever since.
They always underestamate how many people are playing MGO but maybe that's a good thing, it gives other future PS3 games an example of setting up the servers right I guess?
The man put 3D games on the map with Virtua Fighter and Daytona. The man behind Shenmu so you get to have your GTA games now?
Where is he in this article and where the hell is he now in real life?
Yu Suzuki needs to come back....
Yeah releasing on July 31 for only 500 yen (less than $5).
I played a game similar to this, I think it is indeed from WTF (Work Time Fun) on PSP. Seems like they added features and more stuff you can do to the leader (The last guy).
Heck for less than $5 it's an instant buy for me, maybe I'll get a Japanese PSN card soon...
Translation and localization might cost a lot more than we might think.
I'm guessing this is gonna be like an encyclopedia so it's gonna have alot of words?
If localization didn't cost much Konami would've brought out Guitar Freaks and Drummania in the states instead of letting Guitar Hero and Rockband get all their business for 8+ years. Those games barely have any thing to translate, everything were in English already.
It's still missing online? Tell them to start working on a patch before release or something.
Charge $7.99 for it, I'll get it and make sure my friends get it also.
Man people are just blindly approving everything.
Original Contributor please add an Alt Source or Edit in a Google Translation of the article, and let people know which link has English so they can read it.
They've got my business at least.
I think this does appeal to hard core gamers and I wish they come out with harder games that require more precision.
I think Wii is next gen in it's own right. It doesn't focus next gen by it's graphics, but it can be by it's controls. It's sad that no developers are making serious hardcore games with the controls, but hopefully now they will.
1:1 precision, next step come out with a leg strap on and make a VR fighting game. Ma...
Work this into the PS3.
I want to know the exact release date damn it! =P
This is one of the very very few games that I don't mind them releasing unfinished and just patch it down the line.
It looks way more than good enough to play already... GIMME!!!
I'm sold for that reason alone...
They also need to bring out a L look-alike. =)
I actually wanted to see his reactions when he plays Little Big Planet.
LBP probably wouldn't exist if Mario never existed. Much respect to Miyamoto.
Oh man I was wishing it would be alot better.
Seems like the game is really badly programmed... The interaction animations looked like crap... Character models looked ok, and that's about it.
Backgrounds and animation just makes this look like a cheap C grade PC MMO.
Hire some experienced CG artist and redo all your backgrounds, and hire some better programmers and tweek that awkward animation.
The whole thing just looks way too low budget for a game with a big ...
at words? I was hoping to see some pics and didn't find any.
But anyway wow another free MMO? They got Angel Love Online already as another free one... dunno if they are bringing that to US and Europe though...
It's supposed to be able to link with PC servers and the game has already been out for PC in Asia.
I missed Um Lammer Jammy or however you spell that, never got to play it. And I still want to play it now on my PSP!!
ALSO, instead of releasing Vib Ribbon as a PS1 DLC, they need to REMAKE the game for PSP and/or PS3 so you can use mp3's stored on the HDD or memory stick.
It'll only help your sales Sony...
Prologue is a work in progress of the final game. Everything they are working on that gets added to Prologue are all testing grounds for the final game to be better. Even without releasing Prologue they have to go through this process of making sure things work before the final game comes out anyway.
Nothing that make it into Prologue is a waste of time.
Unless you didn't think MGS4 was worth every penny.
They could've sold it as a different game with everything included, but part of it came with MGS4 for people to try out and see if they like it.
You don't have to pay if you don't like the game or don't think it's worth it then.
If it does I'll totally spend the money to get it...
Hope there's a mod so it works on Drummania also cuz Drummania songs are better and more fun to play imo.
