The 40 is about as small as I'm willing to go. The biggest TV has a hefty price tag.
Seven grand for a 55 inch? WTF!? Kind of makes you appreciate the price of a normal HDTV at that size. Get one for just a hair over 1500 for a nice one. We just bought our High Def on Black Friday, so we're not in dire need for a new one just yet. Hopefully it won't take a crap on us. It's smart to buy the warranty.

I have a cable modem and the sheer size of the software is very off putting as far as having my PS3 download it. When Fiber Optic is here and affordable, digital will be a no brainer. But until then, give me physical software.
Picked up my copy this morning!
I think, with broadband and DSL being standard in homes, it would be painful to download large games. Personally, I prefer a large disc and still very much enjoy physical media. Don't get me wrong, digital is great too, but I like having a library of my games in case I want to trade anything in later on.
I'm still picking up my copy today after I get out of work. It keeps getting good scores and I have friends that have reserved it.

I have to wonder...They showed the picture of the Wii gun and the real one. I have NEVER seen a black Guncon (PS3) OR Black Wii gun in my LIFE. Why on earth would you have a Black gun for the Wii if you're going to leave a handgun out that would be hard for even a gamer to discern, let alone a 3 year old child? Seriously, how stupid can you be to leave a loaded weapon just lying around??

The PS3 has PLENTY of life left in it. Come on, with the architecture of the system, we have only skimmed the surface of what this thing can do. I don't even want to plunk down any change for a new next gen system for another 3 or 4 years.
If I go to the kitchen (or the can) my Dualshock comes with. Let's just say I have a 1 year old girl that likes to follow me around who would LOVE to unpause my gaming session.
I would not be surprised if Microsoft announced the new system to be out by Christmas 2011. I'm sure it's already been in talks for what technical specs it will have for guts. I sure hope they future proof it a little better this time and fail to rush it out the door like with the launch 360s. I loved my 360, but I'll tell you this, once I got that RROD, I got my PS3.

Are you kidding me? How many times have I heard people praise the controller of the Wii but bash the shovel ware? Ladies and gentlemen, this is gaming at its finest. You've got excellent titles on the PS3, all we didn't have was the motion controls. Trust me, I'll be picking this up for sure.
