While I LOVE the concept of the Wii (Wiimote), the games are JUST NOT THERE FOR ME to justify a hardware purchase. Give me 5 games on the Wii worth buying the system for that have amazing "PS MOVE" styled support with the Nunchuck and remote.
God willing, there only need to be patches for current games and the new software released will have it built in. It will be an OPTION as far as I can see. Not forced.
Man up and realize it's just business. Find another site to piss and moan. Besides, this is GOOD for Nintendo. It will force them to quit allowing all this crappy shovelware and get serious. Maybe when they make a system after the Wii, they'll realize Sony's gone for Reggie's throat and force them into going back into making the kind of system the SNES was GREAT for.
Then yes. I would say it is a scam, but then again, it's Microsoft. I hate having to buy more points than I need.
Resident Evil 5 comes to mind. Excellent article by the way.
First day purchase. Hopefully we'll get a release date soon.
Why does it have to be the FANS that make some of the best stuff, while these high paid executives do nothing but collect a paycheck? Seriously, a Pokemon MMO would be GENIUS. Problem is, Nintendo has never been quite interested in internet gaming.
A "Scam" is a harsh word to use. No one is FORCING you to buy them, which is the same case as the PSN. However, on the PSN, you have the Wallet, which lets you put in TO THE PENNY how much you want to spend. There are no 'leftover points' to deal with if you don't want them. I've bought points before for my 360 and didn't see a problem with them, but I definitely prefer the PS wallet overall.
What about the sweet ride in Half-Life 2? Both the water craft and the one on land. (I loved it when I finally got the chance to blow that chopper to hell.)
Greenberg needs a frontal lobotomy and I need a bottle in front of me.
Couple that with your 360 and you can warm the whole house for what might very well be a terribly cold winter through 2010/2011.
April Fool's was 2 days ago.
By Summer 2011?
REACHing for straws much? That game was VERY ORIGINAL, yes. It is damn near 10 years old too. The other Halo games, while fairly well received, are uninspired and bland. The 360 has its limitations and though Reach may be nice to look at, I imagine a LOT of compression going on if it ends up being on one disc. Sound quality and graphical tearing may be an issue. Hopefully they can iron out any problems before Master Chief does a face palm.
Do two things.
1. Pick up a PS3 for 299.
2. Pick up God Of War III.
Done.
And on 5 DVD9s to do it proud.
I want my PSP2 first. Maybe one of these later.
Depending on the PSP2's specs, it's hard to imagine a price point, but since it will probably be better than the new DS, I'm going to say $200-219 AT LEAST. But if it's got PS2.5 graphics and processing power, count me in.
But give me another thumb stick, damn you.
Base it on the quality of the software? Oh, wait, then the PS3 would win and we can't have that. /s
Besides, on topic---the fact that Noctis is a homosexual makes sense. Look at his keen fashion sense. A lot like Sony Slave's!
P.S.. Nice trolling, being the first to comment on a PS3 exclusive. Go kill yourself, the funeral procession has been waiting for weeks.
