Of course. This is a reboot. It's deliberately trying to bring new fans to the series and, if you've never played Thief before, this is a bad place to start.
And it's not bad because it's so-hardcore-you-can't-hand le-it, it's bad because the level design is poor. A hardcore game would give you more freedom and exploration. Thief is just a linear mess.
:)
Best part is it's free. So lots of people will have it and lots of people will use it and lots of people will get to play cool things. Project Spark is definitely not getting the attention it deserves.
Yeah I was pleasantly surprised by the first game. Will give the sequel a shot, plus it's only $15.
You mention the "same animation routines" but I don't know if you're aware that Project Spark lets you record your own animations on Kinect and transfer them to characters.
This game looks better every time I see it.
I don't really understand why it's flame bait to write an article based on personal experience with a product. I'm not going to make apologies for Microsoft. I bought a system based on certain expectations and it's not meeting them. I don't feel bad about telling others about it and if Microsoft is smart they'll fix the problems. Once they do I'll be happy to write a "Xbox One Is Finally As Good As Advertised" column.
I don't understand how I'm supposed to more informed on my own thoughts, opinions and experiences? Do you know more about me than I know?
This is half the reason i wrote the article. I'm curious if other people are having the same thoughts/issues or if my XBO is especially buggy.
I've never used hand gestures either, except the "Halt" gesture xbox support told me I have to use whenever the Kinect malfunctions. I knew going in it was going to be rough and I thought there'd be enough to get me to March when I have Thief and Titanfall to keep me busy.
I anticipated the game library being underwhelming but the streaming is worse than on my 360. So the gaming isn't good, the streaming isn't god and I'm not a satisfied custome...
That would be great. I never, ever use the hand gestures and the pop-up is really annoying.
Yeah it was just a weird parallel I noticed while trying to write a review. I was playing the game and feeling totally useless and I saw Peyton on TV and thought "I know how he feels." Plus Flappy Bird seems to be spiking in popularity this weekend so it felt like a good angle.
Thanks for reading it!
I almost feel bad for this guy.
Almost.
From the Bloomberg article: http://www.bloomberg.com/ne...
“We are thinking about a new business structure,” Iwata said at a press conference today in Osaka, Japan. “Given the expansion of smart devices, we are naturally studying how smart devices can be used to grow the game-player business. It’s not as simple as enabling Mario to move o...
This is very, VERY old news:

I know it's old, but i was surprised that no one else made the UNSC Infinity connection. At least in what I've read. That's why I wrote it up. If you know of a source that positively ID'ed the ship as the Infinity please link.
WOWWWWW. Not trying to troll here, but there is not a ton of diversity in the XBO but let me break it down:
There are 28 titles out right now for Xbox One. Of those 14 are action/adventure titles. The remaining 14 include two fitness titles, Powerstar Golf and Zoo Tycoon among a few ported sports titles.
Not saying the library is bad. It's not. Many of these games are good and I own a lot of them. But I've been playing a lot of Peggle 2 lately because...
Don't forget there are a lot of bored XBO owners with time on their hands since the catalog is basically all action/shooter titles and little else. Not to mention all of the titles the dev time will be cranking out for it once it goes live.
The game is FTP. That might change when the beta ends but for now it costs nothing. I'm guessing Microsoft just wants to get people excited about it (because it's pretty awesome) and then introduce lots of microtransactions for different features, templates, etc.
It just feels like a step backward. You can't go where you want, the loot is pointless and the story isn't very original or exciting. There's more fun to be had replaying Thieves' Guild missions in Skyrim/Oblivion.
