Good point about E3. This is a strong start for 2017.
There are a lot of typos and grammatical errors in that copy for it to come from a print magazine. Highly suspect.
Thats exactly the point though. PS4 mods seem to be more complex than getting them on Xbox and Sony basically just said "thanks but no thanks" to the company that's been committed to figuring it out. And as to the "brick" thing Bethesda hosts all the mods on their own stuff and does the QA before hosting. So I guess you'd sue them? But no one's had an Xbox bricked yet so I don't think that's a realistic danger given the way its working right now.
There's never a wrong time to buy Tomb Raider. Solid game.
I've been following this game since IndieCade East 2014. Sooooo fucking good.
JRPGs, while generally pretty cool, have limited appeal in North America and Europe. Sony definitely does a better job than MS courting those publishers, but on the whole the lineups at E3 contain a lot of stuff we've seen before.
what's interesting about these "reports" is that they can't factor in how many of these xbox One console bundles are being purchased by people who already own PS4s.
Look at it this way, the consumer who had $400-500 this time last year to drop on a PS4 almost certainly has $300 for an Xbox One and two games. As much as n4g users like to talk fanboyism I think that most gamers would rather have both instead of just one. I think this gen will be similar to la...
Both are winning. Sony has outsold Microsoft but Xbox One sales are still in the millions. I'm not saying that Xbox one is going to overtake Sony anytime soon, but I don't think appx. 5 million units sold inside of a year should be classified as a "lost cause."
Exactly. The end of support which is basically the death of Titanfall. We heard a lot of hype about long term support but once this dlc drops the focus will be on the sequel so we shouldn't expect anymore content from a game that is online only and less than a year old. It sucks.
That would actually be pretty awesome. And it would explain why there's UFOs in the game (if you get 100% completion and do a few weird things you can find them).) I think the Zombie DLC might be an exclusive for Sony though, which would make people's heads explode.
Because PS Now has roughly 20x the games that EA Access has, and will include EA games in the near future as well. The prices are weird now but Sony's already said they're going to change them. You seriously think EA's library is better than all the stuff that came out for PS3?
How would making money "ruin" Nintendo?
I think the point is that someone can make a knock-off Pokemon game and make tons of money in the app store off of it. As stated in the article, Nintendo could re-release a 15-year-old Pokemon game on the App store and make millions because people want that experience.
Instead they'll do nothing, make no money, and let upstart companies steal their ideas while desperate fans go to ROM-town.
This article is trash. The execs have said it will be tied in to the movie release, which is next winter. Fall 2015 is likely, Summer is not.
Titanfall is like a Big Mac. It's amazing for a short period of time but ultimately you end up hungry for something more substantial.
I'm not a super hardcore fan but I know a lot of people who are and I get why they're pissed. There are lots of people who've spent THOUSANDS over the years supporting the franchise with collectibles. I get it.
According to the nintendo rep I talked to at E3 it's still in the early stages of development. They want to hear what fans want, so I'm hoping this wish list can get some traction. If it doesn't have ranking/community sharing i don't think it'll be as successful.
@Kayant Exactly. Sony continued to support the PS3 and the company LOST money. The article isn't about whether or not the PS4 is a success, but whether or not Sony can continue to mismanage itself into billion dollar losses for the life of the console. I touched on the indies and morpheus because they represent long term bets Sony might abandon as it restructures itself.
And I think the fact that story has hit nearly 200 but only garnered one approval validates my "v...
@iamnsuperman My point is that of the two companies Microsoft could afford to "wait it out" while Sony struggles. Even as the #2 next-gen console it's still selling in the millions. Even more so once the price cut happens. Yes, investors want to see returns but as long as the stock price goes up there won't be as desperate a push to cut the division out entirely. Especially one that is putting the Microsoft brand in living rooms.
Sony is in a different posit...
What's so sad about this site is that articles that trash Xbox get approved immediately without question, but the Sony fanboy deathgrip makes any legit criticism of the PS4 "flaimbait."
Sony is struggling. They've lost $100 billion in seven years. It's not unreasonable to think that the PS4 might not get the support it needs after another seven years of billion dollar losses.
damn some good info in there. cheese-covered gummi ships?!?
