He does make it hard to want to touch his games but if you play ONE of his games and enjoy a challenge then play the ninja gaiden reboot from years ago. Ninja Gaiden Black would be your best bet but be prepared for frustration as it takes a lot of skill. One of my favorite games ever (and even includes original 3 ninja gaidens as unlockables).
He needs more ninja gaidens than metroid: other m's. Yeesh.
His interpretive skills are amazing. He took criticisms about framerate, gameplay, and graphics and boiled it down to people just not being good at the game.
