Well, this was a Japanese-focus topic. Not sure why that needed to be brought up.
Non-Japanese company consoles. Nintendo and Sony always does fairly well (even the wii u has done okay) but MS has barely made any dent there with any of their consoles.

Japan has never liked outside gaming consoles. Why is this still being reported like it's news?
If interested, there is an emulator I've found that tries to modernize dark forces a bit (not gameplay wise, just prettier and more fluid controls) called XL Engine. Tries to do a few other games, too, and I don't know how often it updates but it's worth looking at.

The whole concept of buying a product before they've even made it seems shady. You're essentially giving them permission to not care because they already got your money, so they can fart out whatever garbage they want.
