When anyone makes this statement/ prediction, all they're trying to do is stir up drama and deter people from buying a PS4 by making them think it's going to have no value in the near future. If the current PS4 lineup doesn't have you convinced that Sony is fully dedicated to the PS4, then you're either an idiot or an anti-PS fanboy. There's no other option there.

It's not gonna be any different because Crackdown 3 was doomed to be a mediocre game at best, while X is going to basically be DOA regardless. The only possible saving grace is PUBG, but even that's not gonna top Mario and the AAA third party titles that are going to sell more on PS4 and make the console dominate this holiday. Plus, PUBG is coming to PS4, albeit not long after the Xbone version.

People really overestimate power in determining a console's success. Historically, the most powerful console of each gen never beats out its direct competitors. The exception to that rule has been the PS4. That doesn't make that the new standard, as PS4's success was due to much more than it's hardware advantage. Switch was their fastest selling home console in NPD at launch. Since then it has fallen heavily behind the Wii. No, it's stock issues either; if any console had legitimate stock issues, it was the Wii.
But it's still fallen behind Wii and DS in aligned launch sales. It was never ahead of PS4.
I'm more interested in seeing how it does when the supposed "stock issues" are no longer a factor. The console has been selling pretty poorly in Europe, and has been easily available there for months. I have a feeling the same is going to happen in NA soon, leaving Japan to be the only strong market for it.
I still have serious doubts Mario is going to give it much of an edge this holiday against the AAA third party games.
The fact that Hideo Kojima has taken such a huge interest in the engine should say a lot. It's a beautiful engine, and I'm very interested in seeing just how versatile it can be.
That "show" was awful. Not only was it all the same content from E3, it was even the same exact trailers, just condensed. I know Gamescom is supposed Germany's equivalent to E3, but seeing as the whole thing was in english, it's obvious they were seeking US attention as well.
The only that caught my attention was the Jurassic World game from Frontier, which I will buying for PS4.
