Can't wait to see how this turns out. It's looking really good.
This looks fun.
I really want to play it, but is it just me, or do the bosses seem very monotonous? Like they seem to only have 1 or 2 moves, causes the players to create a simple pattern every time.
Obviously cloud computing is a very internet heavy functionality. For one, to achieve what Crackdown 3 is doing will require monstrous internet speeds, but then there's also the question of what all this means for the game if someone has either a low internet speed or no internet connection at all. Will there be severe lag, less destructible environments, or will the game just not be playable at all.
The cloud is nothing new, and we've heard it all before. I remember ...
Persona 5, No Man's Sky, Until Dawn, Dragon Quest Heroes, Disgaea 5, Alienation, UC: NDC, Sword Art Online, so on and so forth. Just because a game isn't Halo or Gears doesn't mean it somehow doesn't exist.
I'll admit, it's done a lot better than I expected. Though, to be fair, it's quite literally the only AAA game the Wii-U has received in several months. It's good that Nintendo finally has another successful franchise they can add to their list of first party exclusives. God knows it's been a while since we got one of those.
At the end of the day, this is probably the closest you'll ever get to a legit Godzilla game. Because the name isn't very popular outside of Japan, no self respecting AAA developer would pick up the idea and really put some effort into it, because it simply wouldn't pay off. To the game's credit, it does contain a lot of elements that Godzilla is known for: moving slow, virtually indestructible to all military weaponry, is only put to the test when fighting other monsters, etc...
I guess the problem there was that God of War 3 was 1080i on PS3, and always ran anywhere from 32 - 60 FPS throughout the game. It already looked and ran great. Besides the framerate, there really couldn't be any noticeable difference, unless they flat rebuilt the game from the ground up. I think the remaster is simply there to get people ready for God of War 4.
That's really weird. Destructoid gave a preview on this not too long ago, saying this is the Godzilla game fans have been waiting for.
I can honestly live with the poor graphics and frame rates. My main problem with the game comes from how painfully slow and weak Godzilla, himself, is. To top that off, you can only play as Hesei Godzilla in the single player, and that's the only place you can earn evolution pieces to unlock and upgrade your monster. The fact he's...
They can't do backwards compatibility because of an extreme difference in architecture. Do you know how much a machine that can play both x86 games AND Cell Processor based games would cost to make? The PS4 would have to be sold at $600+, and obviously people like you wouldn't buy that. Either way, you don't have to play this remaster. Why not just buy a new gen console to play new gen games? You want to play the old ones? Well, the last gen consoles are cheap as hell now, if you ...
It's a remaster. Chances are people have already played it, but if they're new to PS, now they can. I'm just glad they did a simple remaster so that the majority of their efforts can be focused into the next God of War.
I just find it hilarious how everyone wants something NEW! and EXCITING! and GROUNDBREAKINGLY ORIGINAL!, but if 99.99999% of these same individuals were to be put up on a dawing board to come up with something, they'd instantly get brain lock. Reality is you're almost never going to see a Citizen Kane moment in gaming, yet some people expect every game they buy to be one. Nowadays, new is building and improving upon what's already there.
Can't wait to play this one, and start kicking some kaiju ass online. It's been a long time coming since the last Godzilla game, which wasn't that great unfortunately... But this one looks awesome.
Miyamoto, most likely.
Platinum has had some serious turds. Did you play that Legend of Korra game? I know it was rushed, but holy shit was it awful... ND has never had a single bad game. People try to knock Jak X, but even that was still great in it's own right and enjoyed by fans.
I sincerely want to see Naughty Dog tackle an open world game again. Jak 3 looked amazing for it's time, so I'd love to see what ND can do on new hardware. Don't get me wrong, I love games like Uncharted and The Last of Us, but I want to see them show us just how talented they really are in other fields. Similar to what Guerrilla is showing us with Horizon.
Destiny did something fairly new, but many people trashed it. Define "new". What exactly are you expecting?
It's easy for Nintendo's network to stay up, when hardly anyone uses it lol
Also, you're comparing a gaming network to the biggest online storefront in the world.
I'm just being honest, man. Yes PSN should be working perfectly, but just like the world we live in, it is not without flaw. I'm not saying complaining about it is anti-Sony, but blowing it out of proportion is. If you can't deal with a little bit of downtime, then don't play it and find a new hobby. Otherwise work with what you got and move on. Please don't bring up pricing either. If $50 a year is really that much skin off someone's nose, then they probably shouldn...
I really dig that bow. The high tech, but also indigenous, appearance just looks awesome. Hopefully there's a decent amount of melee weapons as well.
