HD-DVD hs no more advantages at all over Bluray. Cost was the only advantage they had and now it's gone!
By only using 7 of the SPEs they were able to use more of the chips they produced. If there are any problems with any single one of the SPEs they can still use the chip in the PS3. They also sell CELLs commercially that have all the SPEs enabled.
The japan soter and the Taiwan store get completely different stuff. GT5 might be on the TW store now, I'm not sure, but usually the TW store gets everything late.
I haven't finished legendary on halo 3 yet, but haven't put many hours in and I've already gotten pretty far. I've beaten it once co-op heroic and once solo heroic and now I'm working on legendary. I'm more than halfway done now.
I know this -- Halo 2 legendary was way harder. I beat that too.

however, GT5 Prologue is coming out first and it's just going to be like a demo (however inclusive it may be) that costs money. Looks sweet though and it will be a PSN downloadable.
you can already do video chat with a bunch of generic webcams, if I'm not mistaken. The original eye toy or compatible cams can be connected and used for web chat.
Or a new Boshido Blade would be sweet!!!! The tracking would have to be FAST though.

In all fairness, I agree with what you said. however, I feel confident (read hopeful) that there will be enough variety in the environments to provide adequate diversety in the combat.

That's something I know first hand, and I'm only running at 720p. If people are concidering buying an HD tv THINK ABOUT GETTING A PROJECTOR. Do some research, learn the benefits and disadvantages, but trust me when I say they KICK AZZ for gaming.
