What? You think killing the official in front of a dozen people should make you more notorious than him telling half the city about you?
That's not funny. Co-op maybe, but Mass Effect can do better than team deathmatch >:(
I'm totally impressed with this game. It deserves the sales, and is highly improved from the original. That's something most multi million selling FPS sequels can't say.
True that. I'm always impressed to see the PC versions of console games (Batman AA, Mirror's Edge) on my friend's PC because of how smooth and crisp it all is.
The only downside is that any HDTV nowadays wipes the floor with any TN panel 199.99 PC monitor. The colour detail and black levels on monitors pale in comparison to a recent TV panel.
I trust Bioware as a developer of good games, but not necessarily DLC. I'll let their iffy ME1 DLC slide this time because they actually prepared for it in the sequel.
Yeah the filter is too strong it seems. I don't think I could ever get used to that. They should stick closer to traditional anime for the other titles. I'm not sure why you didn't like the animation, it looked fine to me.
Otherwise it was good. The big fight against the army was quite sudden though.
Haha 4:53 - An "AC-10" Gunship? I think he means AC-130.
Since you mentioned latency, I saw my friend playing MW2 on his PC while another friend was on Xbox Live on the same network. I was expecting the lagfest that everyone on N4G was whining about, but it ran fine. There was the slightest stutter every couple minutes and bullets hit the target how you expected them to. So P2P is not a big deal as people say it is. It's not dedicated, but not the devil either.
Really? I live in Ontario and Best Buy/Future Shop both have it for 59.99 on consoles.
"Control, too, is an area that could benefit from attention come crunch time. Movement feels heavy, especially where sideways motion is concerned..."
Yep, I'm likely screwed. A multiplayer shooter should not be heavy in the aiming. I could barely tolerate Far Cry 2 on the 360 because of this. Say what you will about "realism", but it's directly at the cost of precision.
"Activision saw fit to repeat history with Call of Duty: World at War. The game contained genuine war footage of slain Japanese soldiers, accompanied by railing rawk guitars. But it was also endorsed by Jack Bauer, so that's alright then. "
So true. Kiefer made the game awesome. The guitars were so out of place though.
No I don't think so. Mass Effect 2 cinematics are real time and interactive. I think they get you closer to that characters than this will. Still, no pirate voice lady in ME2 so I'm still getting this lol.
I'm gonna go with "lame" on this news. Every time I start to convince myself PSN is getting close to LIVE, some lame update like this just reminds me how backwards it is.
Assuming they add more interesting side missions... This is an instant buy for me!
This is definitely the most improved sequel of the year. I'm liking it so far.
This game does something Zelda TP did very well. Making the first hour or two or your adventure a prelude to the real deal. It makes you connect with the character much deeper than the first game allowed you to.
Embarrasses the original? I suppose, even though it sounds harsh! I've played 3 hours so far and only assassinated 1 guy! This game is very involving that's for sure. Alot of different things going on at once unlike the first game.
Remember when Michael Pachter predicted it wouldn't sell? Yeah...

What a fool. I'm so glad he was totally wrong.
This seems like a cool game. A flight game shooter is a nice mix; the great animations are nice too. Too bad it's one of the glowier Unreal Engine games I've seen. It works for Gears, but I'm unsure it's the look to go for here.
There is only one Wanderer in this life.
