Also I forgot to mention a lot of games are tailored to consoles nowadays so games on PC aren't as demanding to run on max settings.
However there are some PC games that do require a large amount of processing power to max out.
ex.) Battlefield 3, The Witcher 2, Red Orchestra 2, etc.

A lot of GPU Cards can run a lot of games on High Settings.
Just like anything else prices go out and you upgrade as you go.

You can play Xbox 360 games on your PC with Windows 8 OS coming out soon which I think is pretty cool.
(It's better then owning the faulty console itself and you still get to enjoy games on that platform.)

(Besides the exclusive games on the respectable platforms.)
I'm hoping 1080P/60FPS become standard for the next console hardware.
(Modified GPU/CPU, 4GB RAM [Compared to 1/2GB of RAM now.], Blu-ray is fine for games [Don't want digital downloading on consoles.], etc.)

The Call of Duty campaigns are pretty good but way too short.
I can't get attached to any of the characters at all.
There's many other FPS games with better stories then Call of Duty.
