I'm hoping Red Faction series goes back to its roots of being a 1st person shooter only with an expanded story line (Picking up where Red Faction 2 finished.)/characters/location s (Other then just Mars.).
Deep Silver has been a surprising developer lately with the series Dead Island hopefully they take care of the series this new firm puts them in charge of.

One thing though that I hope gets addressed is whether our profiles that we use on PSN/XBL will be transferred over to the new systems.
Some of us have put a lot of work into building up our profiles whether it be collecting trophies/achievements, keeping the gamer name we like and ranking up using that name.
I would be pissed off if I had to restart a new profile over from scratch and not use the same one I use now to progress more. ...
Specs don't mean nothing if the developers don't or can't utilize those hardware specs.

My only requests for the PS4 controller is the following.
1.) Make the L2/R2 buttons concave.
(I agree with this.)
2.) Put some padding grips on the bottom of the controller so that way your hands won't slip and you'll have a better grip.
(Reduces sweat on the controller.)

I believe Sony/Microsoft will both support Blu-ray.
Just hoping on the new Blu-ray discs the disc speed and disc size continues to improve.
Microsoft already tried supporting HD DVD and that ended up badly for them.
Quite frankly since Blu-ray is now the main HD Disc Format of choice Sony/Microsoft will continue to use it though next gen I feel digital distribution/cloud gaming will have a huge presence on PS4/Xbox 720/Steam Box/Ouya.

Despite all negative odds towards PS3 that console still surpassed Xbox 360.
I don't know anyone but Sony can get away with selling a console for $600 and still be successful.
Sony is in a very good position for next gen with 4K, PS+ Service, Gaikai Cloud Support and lots of 1st party support.
Microsoft is in a so-so position next gen.
People will remember the hardware issues of Xbox 360 and lack of 1st party exclusives.

PS3 has been making a profit since the Slim model came out in 2009.
4 years now Sony has made a profit on the PS3 hardware.
Also keep in mind Sony does more then just video games.

Well PS3 just surpassed Xbox 360 in worldwide sales despite being the most expensive, the most powerful and the less developer friendly for creating games.

Not even ATI's 7950/7970 and NVIDIA's 660/670/680 can handle 4K support.
(Though these current GPU cards can do 2K Support. 2500X1600.)
