If you look at the history of campaigns in these types of games, you'd see that usually the campaigns aren't that good. Titanfall 2's campaign might turn out to Be great, but the odds are that it won't be. Then when you add in the fact that the multiplayer seems to have taken a step back so far, the reality quickly becomes that titanfall 2 is in trouble. I'm still interested and I'll keep my eye out for it, but it's not looking good

After seeing how rough the titanfall 2 demo turned out, battlefield 1 is my clear cut #1 game to have this fall. This gen has been full of let downs! But I think allot of that is due to internet hype. I just hope battlefield delivers.
On topic, fun always trumps realism.

Every competitive shooter should have some form of e sports, deep clan system etc. Many games this gen has dropped the ball on this. One that comes to mind is star wars battlefront. How can games like these expect to have longevity if they don't even have a clan system?

but Respawn says campaign ‘took up a lot of time’.

👆This statement worries me. Almost sounds like the single player took resources away from the multiplayer and in my opin...

So what competitive shooters don't you find tedious cause battlefield is just about the most varied competitive shooter you'll find on consoles

Sounds like the destruction will be allot better in battlefield 1 than it was In battlefield 3 and 4. the key word here is dynamic. Dynamic destruction is always welcomed. Battlefield 1 seems like a reboot for the franchise and I see the future being very bright for the battlefield series.

@InTheZoneAC I don't buy games based off trade in value but buying a 60 dollar game only to trade it in a 6 months later for $2.50 is kinda weird. Also the development time of Madden is not an excuse for Madden to lack features. But this is why i say Madden Needs competition. I bet features would magically be more plentiful if Madden had some true competition. Their either being greedy, lazy or incapable but either way Madden isn't progressing enough to justify a $60 purchase ever...

Just think about it. We're expected to pay 60 dollars for a game that is pretty much a roster update for anyone who has bought any of the current gen maddens. Not to mention the game dramatically loses trade in value because it's a yearly release. Yet we complain about no man's sky being $60? Like i said, I'm a fan overall but we're kinda getting ripped off when you put everything in perspective. I'm sorry, the makers of Madden just aren't doing enough to warra...

Also I'm starting to wonder if Madden is suffering because of a lack of talent developer - wise as well. Maybe Madden lacks the groundbreaking new features it's supposed to have every year because the team developing it just aren't capable of getting it done

Bottom line is unfortunately the makers of Madden have gotten lazy and there's no competition pressing them like there was back in the late 90's and early 2000's. There's no way that you can't get a player vs player online football game to run balanced and smooth, yet there's games like battlefront that are much more hectic, yet they run buttery smooth. Not to mention all the features they remove then put back in acting like there new features lol

@InTheZoneAC You must be kidding me, online games suck on Madden. I'm mainly an online gamer but sports games online suck ass in my òpinion. Lag ruins games, people use the same handful of plays to exploit gameplay mechanics and overall they just don't play out anything like a real game. I'd rather them focus on making franchise mode deeper and more immersive and how about adding a 22 player multiplayer mode where you create your own character and play against other playe...

I'm a fan of Madden but I've been turned off by the lack of progression lately, even tho i recognize Madden is a good game overall. Things like pre game, halftime and post game shows have been missing since Madden 2010. Franchise mode is severely lacking in a bunch of different ways. It should be much ďeeper than it is. There should be more story lines, create a team sucks now and where's the multiplayer mode where you can create your own character and play 7 vs 7 or 11vs11 m...

@WellyUK i think bf4 is the best competitive fps you can get on current gen consoles . It has the most variety in gameplay

Hard line and battlefront was smooth. They won't let battlefield 1 release broken

Cannot wait for this. Battlefield is the best in the business

Single player is usually barely touched by most in these kinda games. I'd much rather them add some kinda co op experience like Destiny or the division like i stated below. Very few people buy these kinda games strictly for sp. to me, merging sp and mp is the next gen logical step. Even a co op campaign would be a step in the right direction

I think titan fall 2 will be good but I'm sorry I can't defend an 8 hour campaign. Imo the future for games like these are experiences that merge the single player and multiplayer. Like Destiny or the division. Battlefield ,cod and all the other competitive multiplayer shooters should drop single player and make a great solo/co op experience to co exist with the multiplayer.

i no right and he mentions a lack of replayability. Wait what???? One of the main features is it's unbelievable amount of replayability. Im mainly an online gamer but i purchased no man's sky and
I think it's a great game. I usually play action games like battlefield AND gta online and as of right now i think no man's sky is a great change of pace. It fits in my rotation perfectly.

I stumbled upon a building with a reinforced door.i found that i could destroy the door with my gun but i gained a wanted level. After i killed the first law enforcing drone (i don't know it's name)they sent a four legged drone after me. I was able to break thru the steel door and evade the drones. I found new technology, learned a new word and stole about 2,000 units out the structures safe. It was at this moment that i realised this game is worth every penny. So many possibili...
