I disabled the minimap and played FF7 remake. So much better!
I’m playing it already. Lost count of how many times I played the original, its my favorite game. The remake is amazing thus far, I love how much they flesh out the characters and dialogue. There is a little sidetrack a short bit after the first bombing run mission with immense fan service. Right there and then I fell in love with the game.
Im WFH as well. Have a macbook pro from work that I’m using. Would’ve been nice with an equipment budget though, had to buy a new proper chair to sit in as my back started to ache. I wouldn’t complain about a shiny new screen either :)
Looks like a celeste clone
Beat this on my PS4 pro but, wow, with mouse/KB and an ultrawide HDR monitor.. man it might make me build a gaming PC again
What you and many don’t seem to understand is the cost and time of making all the assets for the new game. Compare drawing stick figures (FF7) to highly detailed oil paintings (Remake). Setting the entire game in Midgar lets them reuse assets to a higher degree while also forcing them to expand upon the story in order to give us a long enough game. Part 2 can reuse some assets from Midgar for places like Junon, the ship, Gold Saucer (maybe?), Costa del Sol and the desert prison scrapyard. Exp...
The combat in 10 was so much better imo :) like solving a puzzle!
Still though, it doesn’t have the same ”epicness” that 15 did
@ziggurcat did you know that just by having the update installed on your system and playing games you are actually testing it? There are more features than what is visible externally. Maybe its a GPU driver update for example. It most definately helps with external betas for stability updates if they go out of their way to do them (and apparently they do)
A beta test is not for giving you guys a chance to see things before they’re ready. Its purpose is to make sure the fw doesn’t break something. Sony, correctly, won’t release something thats not properly tested, even though its ”just” a stability update. Quit whining
I have never tried Dayz but have always thought it seemed interesting. Do people play this on PS4?
I think thats one thing that makes it so hard to explain to people who’ve never tried just how immersive it is. Its not just a screen taped to your face; its also perfect 3d (separate screens for each eye) and it turns with your head. Once we get higher resolution, eye tracking and wider field if view its going to be INSANE!
It is mixed, haven’t you noticed? Each eye in your VR screen depicts the world from two slightly different positions. That’s why there are settings for eye distance. Without that the image would be much flatter , resulting in lesser immersion - kinda like the screen you get when playing non-VR games with PSVR
Yes, but give yourself a challenge and play it on the highest difficulty
Sony spoke about more surprises and an expanded PSNow.. what if PSNow let added ps1 and ps2 titles and let you download and play games for ps1,2,3,4,5 on ps5?
Crossing my fingers this won’t happen. Not all patents comes into fruition, hopefully this is one of those. I hate seeing the greed that is coming into the business through abuse of MTs
Huh, UC4 is actually my favorite. I enjoyed the story much more than the previous entries. I also loved exploring the bigger environments and having the rope made exploration way more fun. The best thing with it , though, is that it removed all those damn near-unkillable ”monsters”.
Square Enix keeps surprising with new lows. I still regard some of their games (as Squaresoft) my favorites. Hoping FF7R turns out good
Sounds fake. How would you even suspend games in the cloud? Lol. That makes it sound like loading games off the internet would somehow be faster than off the SSD/BluRay
As a huge fan of the original I am also very happy with the amount of details and nostalgic nods they have added in.
