Bad idea by Square Enix if they want people to buy FF15 in September.. FF13 doesn't really set a good example.
I'm talking about PC games normally being cheaper than console games. This will of course not be the case if you're buying both the Xbox and PC game in one deal as that deal will probably be at the Xbox game price.
I have a feeling this will make PC games more expensive...
Would love me some Forza though, and several more of those titles look good
So it will use the graphics engine of kh3.. Now that's pretty cool!
This list can't compare to last years imo, but i'm a sucker for japanese games so..
Edit: That said, red dead 3 and crash would be very nice :)
Dice..... :/ why would i want to work with you guys?
I wonder that too... a new crash game would be awesome though!
Didn't read the whole paper, but to me this sounds impossible to do with current hardware. How much space will you need to store all possible frames at good quality? It is a really interesting idea though
No no no.. Hahahah....
Of course it works! I wonder about the games update rate on serverside though (not fps, the actual game world updates) - and strangely he wouldn't answer that question in the interview...
For certain games you could do with a quite low update rate, which would probably be perfect for cloud computing. I know for example that EVE Online (another space game) uses an update rate of 1hz (once per second), while any other updates you see are just interpolations.
It is a browser game (as he said, it plays in Chrome/Safari/Firefox/whatever ), so the UWP stuff is probably just a wrapper to get in on Xbox. Since he says most of the work is done in the cloud, whatever is on the client is probably something like a movie player (or more like the remote-play apps for xbox/ps4 on pc).
These are some very strange numbers... Where are they getting their data and what are they comparing it to? The xbox live app??
So why didn't they just say the sales grew?
Yep, still waiting here in sweden...
I think they want to revive the FF brand and maybe because of that make a profit on FFXV eventually (from sequel sales).
The game by itself can probably take a loss however.
edit: That was exactly what the article suggested, oops :P
I'm just hoping they're not removing too much of the story-content from the game... Sure the gameplay seems awesome but I want it to have an awesome story too.
So, will we be getting cross-buy? When there's no extra work involved for the developer (and there's even game streaming already), I think that's just fair to us customers.
I already have a camera and two move controllers. For me the camera would be $399 if I lived in the states, now it's looking more like $559 (Sweden) :(
I'm all for it!
The one problem I see with it is the PEGI 16
Groove music support? On PC? Really!? That's awesome!!!
Seriously, it looks good, but on PC it has stiff competition.
