apparently every xboxfanboy has a massive 4k collection of movies, but last gen Blu-ray was useless HHmmm
why no love for Kinect
a standard hard drive can barely run sata one speeds and not even close to running sata two speeds
there's not a hard drive in the world that can run past sata two speeds unless its a ssd
all multiplayer games will still be 60 fps battlefield 1/call of duty/battlefront etc
they will use that extra power in resolution and smooth out the fps
theres nothing stopping them having 60fps in a single player game the parity rule is for online play only, you cant have players running around with double the framerate, that would be a bit unfair
the ps4-pro gpu is using all new compression technology from amd which is probably another reason for no extra ram
I'm confused you said you swapped out everything several times except the case and then say:
Except when the PC gets old you don't have to buy the entire thing again
so the only thing you haven't swapped out several times is the case
the gtx 1070 can do this at 4k:
Rise of the Tomb Raider / very high quality - 39fps
Dirt Rally / Ultra - 53fps
Ashes of the Singularity / extreme - 41fps
Battlefield 4 / Ultra - 60fps
Crysis 3 / Very high + FXAA - 28fps
The Witcher 3 / Ultra - 28-35fps
The Division / Ultra - 32fps
GTA V / Very High - 22-29fps
Hitman / Ultra ...
there's lots of options for gamers right know buy the ps4-pro in a few weeks or wait a year for the scorpio or wait another year for the ps5
the pro will capture the entry level 4k market, while the ps5 will capture the high end 4k market
things are only starting to get interesting
its up to the developer what they want to do with the extra power
the most simple upgrade is the 4k upscale and added HDR for those with a 4k tv
for 1080p screens they can use a process called downsampling which takes a higher resolution image even a 4k image and squash it to fit a 1080p screen, you end up with ultra sharp 1080p image
they could add extra AA. better draw distances. more wild life better looking trees. better lighting, b...
if you have a 4k tv the playstation-pro is a must have
the ps4-pro is 3x more powerful supports HDR and has checkerboard rendering for 4k upscaling has a 1TB hard drive and only costs an extra 50 bucks compared to the 1TB S-model
it will also have native 4k games on day one

just another troll account from xboxfanboys
they make next to zero on hardware, so please explain why you think its a cash grab
I have a feeling the Scorpio is going to fall flat on its face
there going to release with halo 6 and forza and halo is going to be rushed to meet the launch window, they will also launch at 600 giving the pro a massive advantage at 350 and its pretty weak for a 4k system, if they have over 15% of there games at native 4k ill be very surprised, they will also be launching with zero exclusives
anything whats not xbox is pointless

HDR adds lag, so its probably best not to use it for multiplayer games, new tvs in a couple of months could change all that and probably will, HDR is probably best left for single player games at the moment and not competitive multiplayer games
in terms of HDR if your interested in a lag free experience take the wait and see approach

Greenberg hanging on to Blu-ray movie support to hold back the tide on gaming forums HHHmmm

actually sony is doing something very clever when it comes to upscaling, which practically makes it look like a 4k native image, add hdr and your 4k tv will look amazing, this is only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the ps4 pro, there will be many advantages to the games
if you have a 4k tv and you want to take advantage of it, then a ps4-pro is a great option and if you already own a ps4 sell it for 200 add 200 and get yourself a pro
its not a simple upscale where you take an image an stretch it
the ps4-pro can essentially upscale from a 3k image, add AA/HDR and its virtually indistinguishable from a native 4k image
