the whole point of freesync is that it just works, you don't need a fps counter to tell you your game just dropped down to 36fps, because you wont be able to tell the difference anyway
most games will be locked anyway

it really only needs to do half of 4k and let checkerboarding do the rest, to do half 4k your probably looking at a 6TF Gpu, so the ps5 only needs to be about 10TF to give it plenty of room for extras, the cpu needs to be able to hit 60fps which I suspect ryzen will bring to the table
