Well that was disappointing.
Was it confirmed, all we know is the hdd included is sata II not if it supports up to sata III. It may have been done like that to save costs.
7 or 8 known reported faults out of at minimum 4000 systems in the wild, yea that's why it's not as bad or disastrous as the hype makes it seems.
I don't have prime either but it was only 8 bucks for 2 day shipping which, funny enough, allowed launch day delivery (Amazon is awesome like that), one of my systems is prepping to ship already.
I was sold since e3, this is my kind of game and I love the concept. Plus I'm getting it free from Amazon with the b2g1 free sale :-)
This game looks great but nothing will beat 3d dot game heroes 1 hit die Spelunker mode.
The one game that makes me sad I couldn't keep my X1 preorder, ah well, will pick it up next year when I take the Xbox plunge.
80 million PS3s on the market and when a new firmware is released you can bet millions download it around the same time and yet there is never any problem. I highly doubt, at most, a couple million PS4s updating around the same time will even cause a hiccup.
its fine, the store still sucks ass but hopefully that is fixed for the PS4 (it has been steadily improved since the revamp), online is good and download speeds are pretty good (though the maximum connection I've been able to test was a 15 mbps connection). Online gaming is also not a worry.
The problem is that most people don't read gaming sites and news like we do to be informed that you need to update the system for it to work.
Usually when I buy a piece of hardware it should work outside the box and since MS is not advertising in the mainstream that it need to be updated to work then many people will be left in the dark for launch.
Think about the parents who will buy the system for their kids, you think they consider whether it need an ...
they will have it up to download from the playstation website as well, so we can most likely get it a couple days before and update via USB without worrying about server overload (which also shouldn't be a problem).
@NoMercyOnlyRage
I thought it was only up for a short time before they pulled it? I think they wanted to either tweak some stuff first or wait a little closer before releasing it.
Wow, talk about out of touch of reality and living in a privileged bubble, I know many people without internet but are avid gamers. Are they to get shafted?
I for one would have no problem with the 500 mb update (even though it would take me nearly an hour to dl) but at least offer a usb update method like the PS4, I lost count the number of times I updated my friends ps3s via USB because they didn't have an internet connection.
He'll get it back, this was great, free PR for MS and now its going to backfire if they let it be.
500 mb in 2 mins. I wish I had that kind of internet.
Yea but the rig mission was the rest of the game, and no I'm not mistaking one for the other. You assume one mission(and side missions) means anything more than one location. It might be a giant complex with island exploration multi tiered mission structure with quite a number of side missions that could potentially take dozens of hours to beat, but realistically be minimum 6-8 hours in length.
They will get huge backlash for a 30 dollar game that it's one hour long. ...
Its almost certainly not going to be 1 hour, technically MGS2 was 2 missions for the entire game but it didn't last 2 hours did it? Plus they said it would have side missions and probably a fair amount of replayability.
My guess its about 10-12 hours long including cutscenes and flexible by a couple hours in either direction. At least that's what I hope for, 30 bucks is not worth a short prologue.
I'm not expecting anything, doesn't do me good to get all hyped up and potentially see nothing. I'll just keep expectations low so if there is some big reveals I will be that more elated.
Oh read that wrong, that would be annoying, but remember they would've had those bundles allocated so giving you a sold out bundle or system by itself would've been impossible.
The watchdogs people would've been ok since the allocated bundles would just been replaced by normal ones by Sony.
Really? Because my watchdogs bundle automatically changed to the launch bundle console and the price reflected that as well.
I highly doubt it was so much about the functionality as much the rarity that the idiot paid that much for.
