Atlus is not stuggling, they were the most profitable part of Index Corporation but the parent company was in trouble and thats the only reason they sold them.
Unfortunately its only Japan Winter 2014 release so we probably will have to wait until 2015 for it :(
Loving the Chibi Persona characters...gah this makes me wish I had a 3ds.
@ethomaz
Not true, you can start playing killzone less than a minute after inserting the disk and textures are massive, no way would it have copied enough resources to pay the game by then, it runs from both until it is fully cached on the hdd.
DR3 was enough for me to get excited, flaws and technical problems b damned, it's my most anticipated X1 launch title.
I sold my ps2 to buy an original Xbox, just had to play ninja gaiden, kotor and jade empire....sigh....great games but ended up buying back a ps2 a couple months later.
I want this but with strangers wrath and soul sacrifice on ps+ this month and tearaway so close, I doubt I would have time to play it until next year.
I wonder if these trolls actually believe the bullshit they type or if they do it just for the sake of it?
It also took longer than a couple days to sell 1 million X360s, not trolling just pointing out that sales volume has a big part to play with the reported console failures timeline.
Plus we are more connected online now with twitter, FB and every news, forum and blog site so problems will be reported at a much faster and larger rate because of it.
It's there because it's a real issue. I've been on multiple troubleshoot forums and at least a few persons had their issues resolved by updating their tv firmware.
I'm not going to get sick from a faulty ps4 and no offense to food but I think electronics of this nature are a bit more complicated. Ask any pc builder/owner if they ever had parts worth hundreds of dollars come doa or die within a short time and you might be surprised at the answer.
Not saying it's ok to have bad systems but it's not the doom and gloom situation people are making it out to be. A few vocal failed ps4 owners can make a very loud noise on the inter...
@yarbie1000
I hope you are joking, you are just making wild assumptions and baseless comparisons based on such limited and unverfied data that it just seems laughable.
Amazon has probably shipped the biggest percentage of the 1 million ps4s, they said at one point it was 2500 preorders per minute and it was bigger than the entirety of last year's black Friday sale just in next gen preorders (both systems). Now given that they probably sold at least a coup...
about 2/3rds of them are verified purchases so its at least 250-300 real issues, problem is when something get a tag line "BLOD" people immediately return and complain about their system not working without taking the time to troubleshoot or see if its a software problem rather than a hardware problem.
Hysteria is a real thing and on top of that amazon has sold way way more than 400 units of PS4s, its bad for the ones with problems but its not even a drop in the pro...
This is such flamebait, they are full of it, firstly if 1 million consoles were sold then we would have more than a handful of complaints of broken systems.
Secondly 400 or so 1 star (failed systems) reviews on amazon is nothing considering they probably sold over 200k PS4 units (and that's a low estimate), faulty units and fake reviews (about 66 % are verified purchases).
Everyone and their grandmother knows about and uses amazon, I wouldn't be surpr...
It was supposed to be. That was an announced feature.
More like an oversight, people forget its still launch, within a months time at least 2 or 3 firmware updates will be issued improving, fixing and stabilizing the OS. Patience, Sony is not the best at software so it will take a few updates to get it right.
What you're forgetting is that Amazon has sold probably over 200k PS4s if the preorders in august were any indication, at one point they reported over 2500 preorders per minute (for BOTH X1 and PS4 combined) and said it was bigger than black friday sales.
Take that into account and 2-300 negative reviews (about 66% are verified purchases also) its almost negligible numbers, remember gamers are a vocal bunch compared to most other tech stuff and so everyone with a dial up ...
Went through 26 pages on the NeoGAF thread, 20 on the PS4 community forums and random places (like reddit and amazon customer reviews) trying to gauge the level of problems...all I got was hours of wasted time, a headache and a giant question mark above my head....
Damn international shipping, tuesday can't come fast enough.
Its not going to be part of the main memory pool, its most likely for the 15 minute video recording and thats perfect considering it would not need much ram and DDR3 is fine.
Those who say DDR3 is not good enough are just fanboys, its fine, but getting the option of GDDR5 is the obvious choice and only a fool would think its not a good thing.
I hope you're joking, the over 1 million sold is true, North America is not the only region it launched in and I have no doubt that the sales are well over 1 million by now worldwide. It's definitely sold through and they specifically said that, lying about that would only hurt them more than help them.
