They forgot that steam is future tech proof. All old games will always work no matter how many times you change or upgrade your pcs. The same is questionable about Xbox One, what happens if the next console doesn't support BC.
Damn I can't wait for the ps version..
Yea so a new game funded by your hard core audience going to the mostly casual crowd is not a cash in?
that sounds pretty damn awesome.
whoops wrong game LMAO (posted for Gran Turismo just now)
Yea gameplay would be nice.
Go buy it people.
nah, you're underestimating the casual, from their reveal all they focused on was how to watch and interact with your tv and social media seamlessly. It was simple to understand and they kept pushing the cable box experience to the viewers.
You have to think of it as smartphone users, most want simple things with a smartphone and as long as it does what they want easily and looks good they don't care about the rest. This is what MS is trying to do. It will have the ...
Sweet this is the kind of game that I didn't know I wanted until I saw it in action, its such a good idea for the Zombie genre, one done at least somewhat right. Lets hope they get enough attention and sales to make a second part and improve on it exponentially.
I like the idea of the share option but I do think an entire button dedicated to it is a bit much. Still its would be nice to get hard evidence of all those ridiculous things we do in games, now maybe my friends will believe some of it.
they also said that they left DRM up to individual publishers. I don't believe PS4 will need an internet connection at all but some games might and they won't all be MP games.
Thing is that online passes were only for MP stuff so it didn't affect SP gamers at all. But this one means that if I only play SP games I will still need an internet connection just to play my single player game.
Many people will be against this as is evident on so many PC games that have tried DRM of this nature and games like SimCity and Diablo 3 which have gotten a lot of hate for it. I mean those are two big names in the business that got major flak for doing onli...
Somebody should tell SquareEnix that.
Funny how they say "video game devs" but half the list are IGN people.
I agree, some of them will be the same but I'm not sure about the online checks every 24 hours which in turn will affect everything else related to used and trading games.
What you're forgetting is that no way in hell would publishers choose to stop used games sales or trading games on Xbox One without wanting to do the same thing on the PS4. And Sony already said it would be up to Publishers to put DRM or not on their games.
The only interesting thing and the real deal breaker for me will be if Sony has any kind of Online checks like MS has and if not, how would the verification work for games if they need to do it online while the conso...
Looks awesome if only they fixed the glitches first. Maybe a patch?
Edit: oh yea forgot there will be a PC version, definitely buy that.
Many people here are completely missing the point, gamers are not the target audience of the X1, its the casual non gaming audience that's the primary target. MS knows that after all the bitching and moaning and groaning everyone who wants to play halo 5 (which are millions) will buy the X1 regardless of its gaming policies.
Its just like COD games, you hear so much moaning and groaning on how bad and overrated they are but then they sell multimillions in a few days yea...
strangle puppies? Bleak man..
They are pretty good and while I loved Witcher 2 a lot, probably one of the best games I ever played, it still had a lot of problems with story and quests. I hope they learn like they did from Witcher 1-2 and make the third part the greatest sandbox game since Morrowind.
Beyond!!!!!!
Trust me as much as normal MMO gamers might seem intense, Eve online gamers take it to another level. I mean they treat the game as a real world and you can actually make real world money off it, so it gets pretty insane. I wouldn't doubt this.
