its like modern warfare 2 all over again. Considering that the majority of persons who play these games do not take advantage of the online multiplayer but purchase it for offline content then developers and reviewers need to consider this as not everyone has an online x360 or uses it.
still want to try the game though. wait for the pc :(
as much as i dislike ign and detest Hillary Goldstein he did say that realistic was the way to play the game and he beat it 3 times(his words paraphrased) so I'm guessing he played realistic and since he beat it more than once i doubt he played the same difficulty over again....just saying...

actually they said(not ign, reviews in the ubisoft forums) if you run through with mark and execute a lot and pretty much play like an action game(which you can mostly) then its 5-6 hours. Using stealth can be 7-12 hours depending how you play but thats not how many will play as its longer and more tedious with no reward or cons for doing either.
Didn't know about the co-op story mode, that would be great, but the MP will not interest me as its no...
the problem for me is that the coop is just a bunch of tasks and challenges that have nothing to do with the story, which has always been paramount in previous splinter cell games. Just because the extra gameplay is there doesn't mean that after I bring the story to conclusion i would just like to play some random challenges as some random agents.
5 hours of story is just too short and no coop add-on like kill x number of people or defend this target will change that. For the le...
you have to admit though the commentary on the trailer was very cheesy made me cringe at times and fall down laughing others.
Oh game looks good and since i like the Max Payne games I'm gonna give remedy the benefit of the doubt.
no monitor, keyboard, mouse or speaker system included so for a new system it doesn't exactly work.
gonna get Yakuza 3 and Resonance of Fate eventually but with such a bad release date close to monster titles like FF13 and GOW3 (thank Sega for that)I'll wait for my wallet to recover first.
Deadly Premonition seriously!?
the wii tech is almost exact to the gamecube so they had a lot of time to work out the kinks to prevent deaths so its no surprise the wii failure is near zero. X360 is not so much a surprise but I'd like to see a breakdown of the failure rates of the newest chip only (can't remember the name) for the x360 I want to get one soon and since I'm not from the USA it may actually cost me a bit to ship it back to the US to replace.
Agreed its getting more and more ridiculous mods need to regulate the spoiler content with immediate bans from the forums.
First Heavy rain got slightly spoiled for me then i hear alan wake story is out in full details plot twist and all and now they're doing it with splinter cell. There are many others also I'm sure, it really is stupid and very immature to ruin a game for many just because you can.
Actually they say the length of just the single player campaign is 5-6 hours(closer to 5 i think) co-op and online will add but i don't know how good they are. Looks great must try the demo first though.
Excellent game second platinum I got (first heavy rain) I played every R&C game except the psp ones to date and i can say Insomniac never disappoints the museum was a great addition and its when developers add that kind of content not because they have to but because they want to and for the fans speaks a lot.
The game itself and from what i saw the amazing visuals make this a must have, hope it continues to sell especially seeing the competition it goes against these days. ...
HAHAAHA...oh sorry this wasn't a joke article oh right April fools is gone...how the hell this nonsense gets approved is beyond me...still glad to see the internet put to such great use.
no surprise with splinter cell but Yakuza 3 is definitely a lot better than they say.
looks fun but i don't agree with Hilliary(actually don't agree to most of what he says overall about games)that it revolutionizes stealth games. Its fast paced and action oriented so call it as it is a great action title with stealth elements, why must every game be revolutionary. Five hour campaign is a very dissapointing and seeing as i will not play online it sounds like a bargain bin buy for me(no rental in my country).
With Hillary always minus a .5 from the score with Xbox...
umm the review determines whether many buy a game or not so kinda defeats the purpose to buy to determine if you like it.
edge is useless i wouldn't trust their scores on a barbie game. they score for hits not for the game.
the thing about GOW3 is that if you put on a costume and play the game you will see where there are in game cut scenes and prerendered ones. So until someone does that they will not know how much is prerendered as i heard its not much other than the really insane cut scenes.(haven't gotten around to it yet)
UC2 just like GOW3 didn't use CGI but all cut scenes were from the game engine and of course many will be pre rendered but the ones while playing obviously are not and they an...
Another blown out of proportion article. sigh. hated FEAR 2, heres hoping for the brilliance of FEAR 1 to return
the main two concerns will be whether the difference in gameplay and cut scene takes from the game (unlikely) and the main concern is whether the game will actually PLAY well...isn't that most important. Of course graphics matter but game play will always be king (look at megaman 10).
Considering this game is from the brilliant minds who made one of my favorites, Max Payne, then I'm optimistic it will be a great game but to compare the graphics to UC2 or GOW3 will be stupid and j...
looks interesting need more....
