Shine - I think your right it will show or give an idea as to the percentage of hardcore/not casual. There will be casual gamers, but not the ones who only bought it for wii bowling. Its animated violence but violence all the same so some wont have interest in it.
It will though sell incrediably well and prove that a great game which can connect casuals-hardcore is the way to be a success.
Damn I was hoping for hardware numbers after yesterdays numbers seemed to small for such software sales. Though I wouldnt think there would be much more then 100k wiis in japan to sell. Oh well Smash is doing crazy. 1 mil by the end of this week and I really hope the game contniues to sell and is able to reach 1.5-2mil before its launched in america. I just want to see this game sell huge.
I dont know if $299 will happen right away, but you are right it will be in response to Microsoft. If rumors are true they will do a cut for GTAIV so I think sony would have to do something. Id be more willing to bank on getting a DS3 pack in and maybe a game before another price cut. Who knows though, but if Microsoft does a $50 pricecut I could see Sony following its not as much as a $100 but it keeps them close and isnt a huge drop.

As for the 100k for wii, how many extra system do you think were lying around to sell? 800k in 4 days is pretty nice this game might just sell 2mil before its out in america. I dont get how you get to make sequels every year for this game. With DLC why on earth do people need to buy the game every year. Besides Rock band is the complete game that GH is lacking. They said before that it would need to be updated to much to put it in this package. Which I guess they mean they dont want to put to much work into the game. I dont care if they dont put much work in or not. Ghost Squad is an enjoyable(short yes but enjoyable) game for what it is plus I like the fact thats its 4 player. Which i heard there would be a 4 player element int he game which makes me happy.

I know the game wont become a million seller, but if it reaches 500k I would think capcom would highly consider making a new one. It was talking about plots, so why not include zelda games. Those games are more about the gameplay then a plot. I dont mind I play everyone of them because I love these games.
I loved Zelda TP a fantastic game with so much depth. I was always interested in Okami ever since it was first announced for ps2. Im very happy that this game will be coming to the wii, its meant to be on a nintendo system. I just hope it gets released away from other games, I just gotta stop buying damn games.

DMC 4 on ps3 installs on hd, no metion of needing hd for 360 version. You do need a hd for full online play in burnout.
This is all the one thing that has been bugging me this generation. These price cuts, differnt models and pack in games have all come fairly early in this generation. Thats not really a bad thing, but with all the ps3 cuts and what not when do some consumers think its a safe time to buy a ps3? How much confidence do poeple have that more cuts wont follow.
I dont see a slim ps3 coming, but new colors, bigger hdd and pack in DS3 all seem possible.
I think why poeple seem to think there is nothing coming to the wii is because we are so heavily rooted into sequels and established names. Thats not saying everything is, but for the most part Hype tends to surround the big names. If not its usually a publisher that generates the buzz of a new ip or the console manfacturer.
