My guess is that Japanese gamers are waiting instead to purchase the slim, the Pro or the Final Fantasy Luna bundle.
Yeah i certainly agree Neonridr, these are among the lowest weekly figures i can ever recall seeing from the Japanese market.
I have a 4k tv setup LG UH8500V which is capable of displaying both HDR formats, HDR 10 and Dolby, i have already watched a couple of 4k videos on Youtube and Netflix and i can already see a significant difference with regards to the richness of the colour depth and contrast brightness.

Edmix, your absolutely spot on, trying to convey the benefits of 4k to potential cuctomers on a streaming video was, in my opinion a recipe for disaster and in my opinion Sony did a lacklustre job and did a very poor job showing off the potential of the PS4 Pro technology.

I have shelled out a small fortune on my 4k televisions and it would have been nice to have been able to have a dedicated 4k player incorporated into Ps4 Pro so that i could have taken advantage of as much 4k media content and not just Netfix, Amazon, YouTube, which my tvs aldready do anyway. I'm also slightly old school, in that i still prefer to have my content in uncompromised format on disc.

Sony's lacklustre conference managed to succeed in one area. It managed to attract me towards purchasing a Microsoft Slim S for it's Blu Ray UHD HDR 4k player.

I was highly critical of Druckmann's views and inputs regarding gaming several weeks ago. I think success from The Last Of Us has gone to his head and he was handed far too much control over decisions pertaining Uncharted 4. For a triple A big budget PS4 blockbuster to still be hamstrung using the over familiar tropes of crate pushing and buddy lifts to attain higher areas shows a real lack of vision on his part as a co director. One of the things that game developers do that i utterly despise with a passion and Uncharted 4 is particularly guilty of is, draining the screen of light and colour and adding blood effects to the outer edges of the screen whenever your character takes a hit. I have absolutely no desire in any way whatsoever to spend a single penny piece on Ready at Dawn's new venture. I apologize in advance, but this new title does not interest me in the slightest.
Currently playing this, and i'm loving it so far. It's a real technical showpiece and a game to show off to your friends as they marvel at the sheer bewildering amount of whiz-bang action all on the screen at the same time. It's tremendous fun and is beautiful to look at.
For me, it's my favourite PS4 game to date, until a certain adventurer will no doubt steal that crown next week.
Bathyl, i have a 4k television Ulta HD set up and it also has inbuilt upscaling technology and the difference and sheer gulf in image quality and detail is staggering. It blows my 2013 1080p Panasonic to smithereens. As of right now as long as you have a reasonably good internet connection there is a plethora of 4k content already available, such as Youtube 4k, Netflix 4k, Amazon Prime 4k, Vudu amongst others and fast growing. Plus Sky Movies upscales to 4k on my television. My jaw still hits...
