Redundant question. Of course it is.
Indeed. I found it hilarious that I, and many others, were making our own maps back in those days for fun, then comes the popularization of this hobby, and the tidal wave of morons that accompanies popularization. All that was needed was a closed system to exploit them. Enter Xbox Live and PSN, and the rest is history.
Now we have idiots who think making maps is "hard work", and is "worth the asking price". I just can't stomach the stupidity an...
Yep. No argument to any of these points on my behalf at least. I've been slowly getting out of the hobby anyways, so I'll be able to watch it burn from a distance at least.
I've turned to retro for collection and fun, and it will do me well enough. I'll pick up the odd game here and there in the meantime, but my days of being investing this hobby in the present time, are well behind me.
They are? Sounds like standard progression to me. Get people used to things slowly.
First it was paying for a map pack, which was hilariously stupid enough to begin with. Then it was paying for multiple map packs. Then it was paying for the entire "season" at a marginal discount (lol, seasons). Then it was an attempt to pay for a "premium app". Then it was paying for post-release transactions in the game you paid $80 for already. Now, it's ...
lol Good god. This VR garbage continues. The "FMV" equivalent of the 201x's.
Nice. A game announced in 2015, is now beyond the "early concept stages".
Well done SE. You clearly are, in a league of your own.
Let's see what you have under your belt so far Playground. Forza Horizon 1, 2, 3, and 4.
With such an incredible and diverse catalogue, I'm sure you're well on your way to being "the best developer in the world".
*gasp* This is practically breaking news these days.
"Game can be played offline! EXTRA! EXTRA! Read All About It!"
"That thing we've done for 15 years now? Ya, they're in the cards, if we find people actually like that thing we've been doing for 15 years already and people have come to want."
BioWare logic.
That's quite disheartening to read actually. I knew FF VIIR would suck, but I didn't know you'd have to wait 15 years for it to suck.
"If you're going to troll then at least get the numbers right you donkey. "
You put it far nicer than I would have. I think you just saved me another week-long ban.
For that, you get a "like".
Take a look around for the last 10 years. I'm surprised it took this long really.
"Gaming" is, by far, the dumbest collective customer base of any market on the planet.
Ya, I really wouldn't wanna program this game for a toaster either. Those are some serious technical challenges.
Couldn't have put it better myself.
Right.
Um..... no.
I'd sooner expect people to warn you to not play Fortnight on mobile. Huh, who knew?
"Would you say the success of Anthem is crucial to the success of BioWare, going forward? Is it vital to the success?
Mike Gamble: No, I wouldn't say it was vital."
That's too bad you think that way Mike, because EA says otherwise. Just ask the chopping block of axed studios throughout EA's history.
Well, as much as I despise EA, I have to sit with this notion at least. It applies to anything out there. Either accept it, or don't buy it.
I don't accept EA or their practices, so I don't buy their games. Plain and simple. That's not even a shot at EA, it's just an example of this thought process in action.
I wonder why. Maybe because physical actually retains some value? Tough nut to crack that one.
Plenty of morons in the world though, that get fleeced each and every day, making the digital "own nothing" market still have its supporters.
