Wouldnt be surprised if this will be another extension of the FF7 world. If so, heres to hoping its better than Dirge.
I'm going to have to agree. being that one of my favorite genres is JRPG, and that certainly was the golden era, God. So many good games FF 7,8,9, tactics, xenogears, parasite eve, vagrant story, legend of dragoon, legend of legaia, star ocean 2, breath of fire 3... the list goes on and on, and granted you can handle the old graphics, you are better off playing these games than the mediocre JRPGs that this gen has to offer so far. I miss those days.
What you say is true... there is too much of a focus on graphics and such these days, in the wake of that story, and depth really does suffer. I feel this was also a reason that the golden age was so great, because at the time developers were able to focus on the more important aspects of an rpg, and in such stiff competition became pretty creative and their games ended up offering a lot more. Although the RPGs this generation aren't atrocious, I can't help but feel they are just a placeholde...
Yeah I really wish developers could capture the golden era through the late snes to psx era. There was so much content in those games compared to today, and most actually had some decent minigames even, fleshed out stories, amazing sidequests... miss those days. I wish Sony would release legend of dragoon and legend of legaia on the psn or even a UMD, I dont care, but would certainly be very welcome portable RPGs. I don't get the same feeling of depth and greatness I've had with past rpgs, su...
You might be interested in an upcoming game called Left 4 dead.
Haha I love seeing how much people care about this, even though its free.
I think the Sega Genesis Collection should be in this list, I mean it is filled with classics that dabble into so many classic genres.
Don't forget the Metal Gear Online beta.^^
This kind of uproar goes to show why Capcom doesn't care so much about Monster hunter in the states, sadly its a great series underappreciated outside of Japan. Maybe if there was more support shown worldwide Monster Hunter would see a PS3/XB360 release.
Exactly, I also think Sonic and Tails should be in there too.
Last I heard they were having problems balancing cross platform play, which is perfectly understandable... so there is a chance that feature may not exist when shipped.
They originally announced it as an HD Remake of the original.
Exactly, I want to own physical media. I don't want it to be utterly dependent upon my account. Not only is it a hassle to view it at other destinations, but if for whatever reason you don't feel the need to own a movie anymore what can you do? You can at least recoup some value in selling it, or trading it in somewhere. Digital distribution still has a long way to go, but even when and if it becomes mainstream I will still be supporting physical media.
Create a Japanese account, by saying that you live in Japan, and filling out the rest in Japanese, actually pretty simple.
Ape escape should have been a $5.99 PS1 classic, instead it costs almost 3 times as much... I held off on the UMD version for 9.99 hoping it would be a ps1 classic.
For one they released the mic set and things for Skype in Japan. That adds so much value.
So the only reason to by the game is for the gameplay, but that's not worth buying a game for.... huh?
Remote Play please!
Yeah my friend is in the beta, currently it is quite laggy until it initially loads all of the textures, and there still have been som freezing problems, but I gotta say it looks a lot more refined, and launching of games has worked between launching DMC4 and when you exit it takes you back to home.
Buyers beware as for anyone not knowing, this is a stunt pulled by gamestop to get rid of current inventory in which they will not be restocking, in other words if you want a brand new Valkyria Chronicles from GS especially at a discount price, this could be your last chance.
