Probably because it's an unfinished product. What ever u see could be subject to change.
I don't know why ppl think it's ok for other to display a product that wasn't even meant to be released yet. Now that the guy is banned even if he makes things up he has no way to prove it or alter something just to make MS look bad.
We all know how much hate MS is getting over the X1. Anything that MS can do to not give ppl negative ammo the better.

And ur are probably the exact reason they do things like this. To stop lies spewing from ppls mouths. Although most of what the guy was saying was positive u have to understand this guy isn't living inside MS pocket which means he can slander an unfinished product affecting sales. That's an uncertainty no company wants.
@Sanchez
MS was not the ones that fucked up to begin with. It was the retailer. Although the customer didn't do anything wrong it would only make since that they ban him. Both Sony and MS are working on just about everything up until launch (except hardware) so any leak of an unfinished product could spell disaster for a company. Even Microsoft agrees the X1 is not a finished product yet.
Actually the weaker specs have nothing to do with kinect at all

Check here under data centers. Don't know how close u are to those locations but it gives you an idea of where the servers are. MS doesn't disclose where every data center is for security reasons but it does seem u have support in ur area. I would assume that if demand is high in ur area they would bump up the services there
@biggest
Then I'll make it simple. When MS drew up the X1 they wanted 8 GB of ram. Well the only chunks of 8 GB of ram available was DDR3. So they chose DDR 3 early on. They had no choice of GDDR 5 at that time.
Sony wanted 4 GB of GDDR 5 when they planed the PS4. It wasn't until late last year that they were able to get 8 GB. why? Cuz no one made it yet. Sony got lucky.
Totally getting an X1 at some point. Love the brand but I have to say xbox music isn't all that great. I got one free month to try it out (ios) it was ok I guess but then I got iRadio with IOS 7 and never looked back. Although u get xbox music for 6 months u only get xbox music for 6 months lol then you have to pay. At the end of the day I may just snap YouTube to the side and play music from there instead of xbox music

And yes you can fix it with a patch. That's what happened with GTA 5. The frame rate is better then at launch. And from what I see the frame rate drops are across the board. X1 PS4 and PC any ways. Seeing the X1 at 720p while also seeing the lack of polish all around I'm not surpris...
For a second I was going to argue that gfx really don't matter all that much and blah blah blah but then I read the last sentence lol if that's what gets ur cheeks wet then so be it lol
The kinect has absolutely nothing to do with why the X1 is as "weak" as it is. The only reason why Sony has a substantial leg up is because of the GDDR5 RAM. Which no one should forget that although Sony was going for a "primarily gaming" platform they were also going to only have 4 GB of RAM. they could only get 8 GB at the eleventh hour. MS chose DDR 3 cuz they wanted 8 GB. Since the beginning (before 8 GB of GDDR 5 was available) they put DDR 3 into their plans. They co...
1. This is a dev kit
And
2. This seems like a cold boot. Both the X1 and PS4 are supposed to stay in a "sleep" state which allows both to "boot" faster then a cold boot.
@shinmaster
IMO your budget PC argument isn't very strong. PCs are becoming increasingly cheaper as time goes on. In reality the only thing anyone needs to upgrade is their power supply and graphics card. 3 or so years ago I bought a GTX 460 for a little over $100. It by far was more powerful then a 360 or PS3. All I would need to have a PC more powerful was to buy a 780 (Nvidia) or the R9 280x. Kills both consoles easily and about the same price. Over time both will bec...
Lol even good news is bad new for the X1 on N4G it seems.
Having the hardware to technically do something does not mean both experiences will be the same.
It's more of an addition to the controller. Devs will use the voice command a lot more then gesture controls. I never had a kinect but I have played End War which is a game that let's you use your voice to control an RTS style game. The idea was GREAT but the only problem was reliability and the way they structured the commands. If you played that game I think the idea of vice commands can easily change the way we play. I see it as more options. I could care less about gestures at les...
Sweet Jesus man that's too much to read lol
IMO I could never play a FPS on a Dualshock. It's just not ment to be for me. Even if I really hated the X1 I'd rather play CoD on PC then With a Dualshock. The xbox control is one of the few reasons I even still play xbox. I spend more time on PC nowadays.
@angrlsx all X1 games are up scaled to 1080p regardless of what the native resolution is unless it's already 1080p. That's because of how the xbox was built. So pretty much what you said makes no sense.
http://segmentnext.com/2013...
You can count pixels all day long. I'm talking about what your eyes see. If I showed you 2 pix with one at 900p (up scaled) and one at 1080p could you tell the difference? I would assume not which is the whole point. If it's up scaled and you can't tell the difference without a dev saying " this is 900p and this is 1080p native" then what's the problem?
Can anyone hear HONESTLY say they can see a CONSIDERABLE dif from 900p to 1080p? I really don't think many ppl can. So if that means getting extra power for actual gameplay I don't see the harm. If these consoles were running titans I could see the fuss but seriously.
On another note if this is to be true it's a slap in the face to all the Sony fanboys talking shit about X1 resolutions for games. It's just goes to show there really isn't much dif between ...
@Death totally agree. Someone needs to ask Yoshida that question lol get all fanboys from flaming.
He owns the xbox but he doesn't own the XBL services. He pays for access. Which requires a ToS.
