That's a whole lot of people.... and I'm not one of them. I checked out the Fire Emblem game last year for a few days, but that's literally the last time I played anything on my phone. I'd rather just take my Switch or even my Vita on the go.
I feel leaving Blood and Truth off of this list is a huge oversight.
I've been waiting on this to progress w my Dreams passion project! I had been wanting to create a VR "experience"/interac tive narrative, not necessarily a game... it'll just work so much better in VR w that level of immersion. So friggin excited. :D
The 3 PS VR missions are absolutely incredible. I wish they would release more!
I had actually read somewhere that there were originally supposed to be 6 of them, found through data-mining.
I downloaded it, started playing it and thought... okay, this isn't so bad. Why all the hate? ......then I got to the terrible character creator and suddenly I'm shooting flames. Ugh.
2022! haha, that's a long wait, here I was getting excited. This looks great though!
"Squadrons is developed by Motive Studios in association with Lucasfilm, and it will feature a dedicated single-player mode, and multiple multiplayer modes with no microtransactions." - Gamespot `
See, why not judge each game on their own merit? You only proved my point that you came in here expecting to hate it before you saw or knew anything, because you completely ignored the statement about the lack of microtransactions.
People have wanted to hate this before they even saw anything, but I think it looks very promising!
Finally, a FULL Star Wars VR game! Not just a side thing or short experience. I'm assuming this will be a PS5 VR game, so even without a 4k PSVR2, it will still benefit greatly on the graphical end from the improved processing power of the PS5. Can't wait! This is going to be a blast online in VR. :)
I honestly think they just throw a bunch of names into a hat, pull them at random, then write a prediction article about them.
@Justin for sure. I hope this sells well, so that the demand for VR rpgs is seen! It's a steal at the sale price. I would have still bought it for $30.
@Apocalypse Sounds awesome. I'd like to see what you create. I can't WAIT for the Dreams VR update! I'm a bit bummed I didn't get called for the VR testing. I would have gladly done it for free! I live in Europe, but moved here, still use my US PSN account. Not sure if that had anything to do with it, or ...
Yea, I already owned it on PS3, own it again on PS4, and actually have been trying out EA Access lately to play some sports games online with family. I think this should have been $29.99 at launch.
I used to love having Burnout Legends and Burnout Dominator on PSP back in the day, so my 2005-ish self would have been excited to see this today.
Knowing her, she'll be trying to grab the phone and she'll probably throw a fit when she can't have it! XD
I thought this was a joke... then I remembered I have a 3 year old! haha
I'm definitely going to download it and try it out with her. Anything to stop the tantrums!
@Villanelle haha, I'm definitely not trying to troll it, my PS5 hype is through the roof! I just couldn't shake the feeling that something was off with the title... then it hit me. XD
It could be used against them by the haters IF it turned out poor, but Housemarque is a great development studio and I'm sure it will turn out good, if not great.
**just hope the sequel isn't called Returination, considering Housemarque's track record o...
I couldn't put my finger on why the game's title didn't sit well with me at first, then I realized it does looks like "Returinal". :\
Oh well. The game looks amazing though, glad to see Housemarque stepping up to the AAA plate after their killer run on indies. Really cool concept, hope this turns into a homerun for them.
This seems like a great one to have for portable, but $50 is WAY to much for it. I'll pick it up eventually on a deep sale.
This is big news for fans of rpgs on the PS VR! There really isn't a turn-based game like this, other than the really low budget Crystal Rift.
I didn't know much about this game before I heard this announcement, but I started watching reviews, reading from the developers. It seems it was a great little indie game to begin with, having a 25 hour campaign, great old school grid-based dungeon crawling gameplay full of loot and quite a nice aesthetic.
He...
i otterly approve of this.
Looks like a fun little game, I'll play in handheld on Switch. I think I saw before that you can swim through the little canals, yea? Cross-play, so a better chance of having a community. Gotta say, I'm more likely to give this a shot than other shooters just because of the otters! lol
Yea, the article is perfectly valid for his own decision, but it went off the tracks with the "and you shouldn't either." Clickbait.
I'm drooling at the thought of the entire game being playable in VR!
