Cuz its got plenty of competition in the 3rd person shooter dep. Dark Void, Damnation, The new Red Faction, heck even the new Socom.
And b4 you start complaining about Socom, this is a game in its pre-alpha stages that looks better and better every time I see it.
But yeah, I think Gears of War is definetly responsible for this influx of 3rd person shooters we're seeing.
That's why I laugh at ppl who complain about the PS3's price point. It's relatively cheap when you consider the cell technology. We're talking about a processor that was built for supercomputers, and is commonly used in them.
I think its funny that all the so called "best games" you mentioned on XBOX360 are PC ports that run better on PC and have more features. I didn't buy a next gen console to play PC ports. I would rather sink that 400$ into my pc, which already smokes an XBOX!
All I gotta say is the PS3 lineup from this year on is going to put 360 to shame! But really, for being out for 3 years, MS barely has any titles slated.

This reminds me of that huge controller they sold for Xbox you could use to play steel batallion. It was awesome, it even had an eject button! The problem was it was expensive as hell and you could only use it for 2 games!
It's a must for any music fan. It's like asteroids, but every time you hit an object it makes a guitar effect. Not to mention there is a kick ass guitar track in the background it goes along with. I love this game, I play sometimes when I just want to unwind and listen to some music.
But yeah, hands down, PSN games are a lot more creative the XBL. Loco Roco, Super Stardust, Pixel Junk Racers, Calling All Cars. There games are addictive and actually worth buying.

Whenever there is an actual interesting article barely anyone reads it(judging by the comments). The implications this will have on PCs are jaw dropping. Maybe if they renamed this article " GTA4 came out -and oh yeah, like, scientist created a new form of memory" more ppl would read it.
I returned it a week after I bought it. I don't own a next gen system so I can play rehashed games from old consoles. But if you look at Bungies track record, back when they were mac exclusive, they were always a crappy company. They just filled a niche on XBOX1 being the first shooter to deliver a good mp experience.
There aren't enough games out there that go balls out.
If 360 is next gen then PS3 must be for the gen after next gen. Fact of the matter is MS did not have the foresight to do something about storage space and now they are going to pay the price. Or maybe they thought they would just release another console prematurely to correct it. I'm not getting sucked into the hype of the 720, this console war has proven although Sony might take their time, they do things right.
Any way that you look at it the 360 can't handle next gen games ...

Looks like it might have some of the god of war magic. Although this trailer didn't show any gameplay, from what I understand all the cutscenes are in game, so they give you a good idea of what the gameplay graphics will be like.
The uk is the most Xbox360 freindly region. I fully expect PS3 to make up this difference and then some in the other countries.
However, the US sales of GTA our going to favor 360 by a much wider margin...
Still, I have to say that PS3's sales are more impressive considering the have significantly less consoles out their yet they can still keep pace w/ 360.

The GTA4 special edition, more useless cr@p than you know what to do with.
Never was a big GTA fan, its good for a little mindless fun, but I've already gone back to the MGO beta and GT5:Prologue.
There is some nice touches in their like the cover system, but you can only reinvent the wheel so many times.
Need a solid RPG already. I'd get Lost Odyssey but looks like i'd have just as much fun replaying an older FF. Can't wait for them to release the new FF demo later this year.

I don't think 50m$ on DLC was warranted. When you consider it wont be here til autumn when there will be too many other good games out, and a good number of Xbox owners have the arcade version that wont be able to download it. Not to mention, who plays through all the missions anyways!? All I want to do is reek havoc, rape and pillage, and then maybe pick up a hooker for my efforts. (My avatar is The Taxi Driver after all)

The new FF is jawdropping in the graphics department, I can only imagine what it will be like in the gameplay department.
I don't think this article has much merit because everyone knows once the new FF comes out it's gonna sell like hotcakes. How many ppl do you think are going to buy PS3's for FF alone?
And another thing - American RPGS are garbage. KOTOR's gameplay is so annoying, its like a wannabe JRPG but need to seperate itslef, so you have to use their $h...
