Here's the thing you should know. The difference between MHW and this one aside from the pretty visuals. Is that MHW is more western oriented than MH Generations.
MHW is more appealing and more casually and friendly to the player and this one is more traditionally what a MH should be.

Personally I don't like labo, it got me a smile the first time I saw this but it's just isn't my cup of tea. However I'm glad nintendo labo sales we great. Also yes whether you like it or not Labo outsold God of War in Japan only. Of course north America and Europe it's another story.
