Hey, what were the PS2 numbers? That's an impressive month by Sony.
I am one of those 360 owners this week. I couldn't resist, $50 drop, with two gift cards.
But the thing has 2007 at the end of the serial. Has it been sitting around that long? The GF thought I looked funny peeking at each one for a 2008 number, so I just grabbed one and left.

That said, after buying a 360 this week, I now have all systems. I bought the 360 because the Wii just wasn't doing anything for me. But it was free from the GF, so I'll check out some titles. SMG was fun though.

Lol, that's funny. No kids of my own, but my nephews wanted some toy at McDs, and I came home with the wrong one. There is no "sorry" when you see those faces, so I had to go back. Lotsa nuggets and cheeseburgers to go around that's for sure.
But GTA isn't a shooter, and that is wildly successful. As long as you show that the player can cause "mayhem" in the commercial, they will come.
Bosh, as pointed out, MGS4 is not 1st party, so Sony would help, but the onus is on Konami.
Oh, and I love MGS4, but it's not mainstream, no matter how you slice it. infamous has the potential for broader appeal possibly. Give sony some credit, they kinda know what they're doing. Look at how they turned the PSP around and how they're turning the PS3 around.

I have PSP and PS3, but it wasn't the key to owning anything.
However, the blu-ray definitely helped.
Japan has a higher per capita sales rate, and a higher absolute amount as well, but the US is not that far behind in FF sales. I'm not making predictions either way, just sayin. I'm sure anyone with both consoles will buy the PS3 (not a port) more often than not, and then those with either will obviously buy either.
