I have had bad experiences with GameStop myself, but overall I have rarely had good experiences with any used retailer. Hands down, unless theyre doing a crazy sale, Amazon will smoke their prices. I think games should be bought from the publishers/developers directly, and they should follow a logical model to determine the games value, especially when its older.

many other industries have other means of getting money after initial purchase. Used cars still need parts and repair, and with newer cars the parts come from dealer or at least a manufacturer associated with the brand. Games dont need to be fixed later down the road and it would a bitchfest if they tried to charge you for it. Sure some dlc or in game purchases may help, but those are still developed and cost money to make. most games make $0 besides their initial sale.

The new one sounds less dated (obviously) and with its more mashup style than just synthbeats it appeals to a broader audience. Personally, i thought the commercial was badass when i first saw it, and even non MK fans thought it looked cool. And in many cases with commercials and trailers, the music is the major hook.

Ever since Natalya in Goldeneye, there has been a special place in hell reserved for escort missions. This is coming from an avid Metal Gear fan, and Kojima loves his escort missions, but they are the bane of a gamer's existence. Its not a good feature of the game when the most satisfaction is derived from killing your companion. If GoldenEye had super realistic damage effects, Natalya's head would look like Hitler's at the end of Inglourious Basterds.

i still prefer burnout's arcade style to need for speed's. NFS tried to be serious and arcade-y, and it never really worked, hence, Black Box got pulled from developing it
